    USB works just fine, if you are using the X26 Pro as a DAC.... If you are using it as a Pre-Amp also, you may run into problems.

I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion, but I will say that the X26 Pro is twice as Large and Heavy as the D90, Because of the Dual Mono Power Supplies.     Again this noise issue must be for people that are using this DAC as a pre-amp, as I have no noise problems with any Inputs be they USB, Coax, I2S, Optical. But my DAC feeds a Tube Pre-amp (As an Audiophile should do).
