Active Room Treatment (ART) by Dirac

Maybe because he doesn't have any subs behind the listening position..?

Active Room Treatment (ART) by Dirac

That's what I was thinking as well - great FR but well, I'd bloody hope so with 16 subs in a "perfect" front- and backwall DBA-array... I'd imagine ART doesn't have to do much here... :(

Dirac ART is now running on beta FW for Denon Xx800H AVRs!

    This looks promising... https://www.dirac.com/live/dirac-live-active-room-treatment/

Dirac ART is now running on beta FW for Denon Xx800H AVRs!

The question is, is the quality of the correction also impacted with less channels used (for example because there aren't enough filters for the system to use)? I don't even have one channel that is full range, I have a sub-sat-system crossed over at 80 Hz because the speakers can't really do...

Dirac ART is now running on beta FW for Denon Xx800H AVRs!

hollywoodzuhause did release another video (livestream) 2 hours ago if you want to check it out - but it's in german. He might has to take that one down as well though....

Dirac ART is now running on beta FW for Denon Xx800H AVRs!

Well yeah since it is finally an official statement from actual D&M employees, stating that DLART will come - right from the release! - with the AV20 and I guess that means it is now very likely that it will come to the other devices as well.

Dirac ART is now running on beta FW for Denon Xx800H AVRs!

Well after seeing hollywoodzuhause's video, I guess you were right ;) That's great news! So it should really come this year, still no mentioning about an upgrade for the older devices but I guess now it's pretty much certain it will actually come. I'm really curious to see how well this works in...

Dirac ART is now running on beta FW for Denon Xx800H AVRs!

No I haven't - well I have but only as an employee of a smaller company (with around 70 employees and around 10 mio. annual sales volume), which has been bought by a larger firm. But in our case it was more like a merger than an acquisition. So admittedly, I don't know much about how these...

Dirac ART is now running on beta FW for Denon Xx800H AVRs!

Well yes but this was before the sale of the company - surely the situation is completely different now. I don't expect anything to happen before the sale is completed, which will probably be around the end of this year and who knows how the new owners think about ART and/or about releasing it...

    Marantz Cinema 30

I doubt that that's the case. That's more likely imo.

Denon/Marantz - the end is near (or not)

Indeed, how much you are willing to spend/risk is a very personal thing (and of course subject to how much budget is available to you in the first plac). Yeah, money no object, the A10H would be very high on my list as well, mostly because it's quite a bit lighter than the humingously heavy...

Denon/Marantz - the end is near (or not)

I wouldn't be frightened to buy a Denon AVR right now, I just bought an 4800 as well ;) As @EWL5 just wrote, it's very unlikely that D&M really goes completely out of business/shuts down during the next few years (I can see them being in trouble long term though if they don't change their...

Denon/Marantz - the end is near (or not)

Exactly, a Denon 3800 only runs you about 800 bucks currently here as well - these are very sweet deals and they can do so much more than a MiniDSP, while providing a much more sleek, all in one package. The Flex HT is certainly a great device and for some use cases it's a great solution but for...

    Denon AVR-X6800H now released.

In terms of the amp section, if I look at pictures of the insides, I'd say there is arguably a bigger difference between the 3800 and the 4800 than between the 4800 and the 6800. Yeah the better DAC is definitely intriguing but as you said, these differences are most likely all inaudible so it...

    Denon AVR-X6800H now released.

You mean between the 3800 and the 4400? Too late I already ordered a 4800:p I'm still wondering if I shold have gone with a 6800 for ~900 more to satisfy my fomo though:rolleyes: Indeed! 800 bucks for an AVR with basically the same processing unit and almost all the the features of their 7000...

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

It is a big gamble of course, if you have only a very minor, easily reparable defect, you probably have to throw away the whole receiver because you cannot get parts for it anymore. Also, even if the AVR runs smoothly right now there is always the possibility that there are problems with a...

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

Really? I only heard bad things about it. It seems like it's 2 generations behind even Audyssey let alone Dirac,

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

Fully agree. I'm not a gamer so even the Hdmi standard of my 4400h is actually still enough for my needs. The only thing I'd gain with a X500 AVR is HDR+ and as it stands, not having that standard is not really a concern. And I very much doubt that we will get some new audio format in the next...

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

I don't mind spending the 500 on Dirac, I'm pretty sure it will be worth it. I'm worried about attaching it to a ~1K AVR...

    Denon AVR-X4800H AVR Review

Definitely but frankly, I don't worry about resell value that since 'm planning on using it for a long time I won't getting a new AV for at least 5 years, if possible even 10. The only thing that might make me wanne uprade in the near future would be ART but I doubt that this is going to be a...
