The V2 of the Kali measure much better. I found the Kali gets closer to my Genelec/Neumans than the JBL. The JBL got the chop when i needed to rationalise. The thing with Ascilab passives, is they are so cheap with the performance they achieve. If you have space for electronics, superb dacs...

If you dont want to pay extra for cutting edge measured performance and cardioid, lots of cheaper alternatives. Bang for buck probably Kali Audio is still hard to beat. There was an active version of the A6B, not sure its still part of Ascilabs plans

The other option is to look at the Ascilabs actives. I think the A6B is just about to be released, and the very cool cardioid C6C is not far away. I use 8361a - you cant go wrong with Genelec.
