You have to remember that the item taken back no longer is a new item and must be taken as a loss or sold at a lower price. Maybe you can try to sell it at your local used market and purchase the towers later when you have made the decision.

If you sit in the center i believe it would be better the center be at horizontally as it is closer to the screen/tv， but it looks like you are pretty far away to notice a difference. But you could try.

If you are going to mate with a sub then sure is nice to have high pass filters but the proper way is thru dsp. I think an avr with peq is a very good choice for those looking to mate with a sub. Just a dac or preamp with high pass filters dint cut it

The ascend is wider on the critical midrange and much consistent throughout the highs. The PS fr10 FR clearly shows a discrepancy of the mid and the woofers. They are too far apart for their crossover point. I think Erin should get a pair of the ascends towers ribbon to measure and tells us how...

Why dont you try to reposition them ? They are different speakers and should be positioned up accordingly.
