Thanks @somebodyelse I will dedicate the MacMini 2024 with an i7 CPU, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD to Daphile once I replace it next summer, it got old for my tasks but should do pretty well as a music server Grazie

The Caiman is connected to a line input on the AR SP9 and it has not enough voltage on the output to drive the power amp and, not to be offensive, can't compare a thing like the Beresford to a dedicated preamp like an Audio Research no matter how old the AR is
