I tested Qobuz Connect in the app and it connects via AirPlay (only). Not sure if there should be another way to connect though.

It's not a huge deal for me as I have only about 50 or so DSD albums (vs. thousands of PCM recordings) but I have to say that is disappointing and quite misleading!

Great post! And, yes, if I remove convolution and other DSP (I am using Roon), I get either a blue light for MQA Studio tracks or a green one for plain vanilla MQA tracks. Also - the Kobayashi Chopin/Liszt recording is terrific!

On mine, when playing DSD, the word DSD lights up in the panel. When playing MQA the word MQA lights up and a bright purple-ish light illuminates.

I have a bespoke foot made of exotic hand-harvested rubber that improves the sound immensely. Wider soundstage! Incredible imaging! PRAT in spades! It cost three times what I paid for the SMSL and I will gladly sell it to you for half of that!

I just bought one of these and like it very much. To me, it sounds more dynamic and "alive" than the Topping E50 it replaced. That is probably a placebo effect but a pleasant one nonetheless. I do have two questions - not sure if anyone can answer them. First, the (rather skimpy) manual...

I have an E50 in transit. I plan to use the TRS/Balanced output to feed my power amp, driving KEF LS50 Metas, and the RCA output to feed a KEF subwoofer. Based on John Yang's response that setup seems to be fine. One question, though -- are the output levels of the TRS and RCA outs the same...

As an update, Apos Audio has just sent me a new Topping L30 (thank you for standing behind the product, Topping) and the stack has been sold. The lucky buyer is getting a brand-new L30!

I have multiple DAC and HP amps and something had to go! I had not heard anything about any issue with the L30 but I will look into it before selling it.

Anyone know if the XLR and RCA outputs on the X16 can be used simultaneously? I'd like to use the XLR outputs to feed my power amp and the RCA outputs to feed a subwoofer. I believe the XLR outputs offer higher gain so I would have to adjust my subwoofer volume. Thanks.
