I can hear a difference with DAC filters. I was using linear phase, fast roll off but then my systems changed and I wanted something less 'bright' and 'fatiguing'. I like linear phase slow roll-off with my Vandersteen speakers and linear phase apodizing fast roll-off with my Elac's in near field.

How long should you wait after you turn off the amps before you turn off the pre-amp and DAC? Don't the capacitors have to drain a bit?

Using a multi meter I measured the XLR output of my DAC so I could figure out what volume to use to get full output and prevent clipping on high gain (THX AAA 789). When I used a tube pre-amp it was absolutely a problem. Since I stopped using tubes in my setup, no issues, but I moved my router a couple feet away just in case. According to google, 1-3 feet away is a good practice, whether or not one has issues.

I usually get Pete's Coffee but ran out so I went to a local roaster and got this. I got used to dark roasts but I really like how fresh this tastes.

I would prefer to have a little more slack on one side but there is enough as long as things don't get yanked.
