    Review Index is Working Again!!!

:D:D:D:D:D:D This glitch has been surprisingly frustrating for me. Proof I spend WAAAAY too much time looking at gear. Glad it's fixed.

JCALLY JM20 MAX Headphone Dongle Review

Thanks for the kind post. I am moving up on 60, and my ears don't test that well, either. I was just testing the JM20 with my Senheiser 6xx cans, and sound was great. I'm now listening to my new "GATE" $20 IEMS, and I had to turn the volume down to 7%--and it's really loud! (And I'm a not...

JCALLY JM20 MAX Headphone Dongle Review

I thought I received mine...it turns out the Aliexpress website is a bit slippery. The product said JM20 max, but it turned out it's the JM20. I had to click one more box to actually get the MAX, for about $2 more. This one sounds great (and is plenty loud), but what the heck? For $20 I can't...

    Truthear GATE $17 IEM Review

Grabbed a pair cuz....why not? I'm very pleased. Except with my $300 Sennheisers, which now seem rather poor.

Cheap class D amps. Andrew Robinsons take.

Good questions. I will get the phone app and figure it out. Thanks for the info.

Cheap class D amps. Andrew Robinsons take.

I didn't worry about the "high pitched" sound thing at all. BUT, my wife woke me up at 5Am this morning and said the high pitched noise coming from the speakers was driving her crazy (first time I left Fosi Amp and SMSL DAC on after I fell asleep). Now I'm a bit worried.

    Sennheiser HD 660S2

Well, lush sounds good to me:) Mine will be "gifted" to me by my employer, so I won't begrudge the price. When I retire, I hope to buy the equivalent of the 800 line; hopefully these will keep me happy til then.

    Sennheiser HD 660S2

I'm getting a pair of these through my job as part of my "research funds." I'm looking forward to trying them out. I have a pair of 6xx, and a couple pairs of HiFi man. Oddly, I usually use my $22 IEM's, as they kick ass, and wireless phones and earbuds when I commute (cuz of noise cancelling)...

Polk Signature Elite ES20 Review (Bookshelf Speaker)

Whoa baby! I came in on the weekend to really see what these can do (they're in my office, so was playing very timidly), and I'm very impressed. String quartets, solo piano, pop music, vocalists... I had to change their placement and rearrange some stuff, but very sweet sound. I'm actually...

Elac Debut Reference DBR-62 Speaker Review

Sorry to have sort of hijacked this thread:cool: Just some final notes. As per Honken, I did a big rearrange (speakers and furniture) and "re-YPAO"d, and am MUCH happier. Also, found there are crazy cheap older Woofers available, so will follow Zolalll's suggestion there as well. Thanks...

Elac Debut Reference DBR-62 Speaker Review

Thanks, everyone. Sorry not to respond sooner. I'm in Japan, so was sleeping. Zolalll--about a sub: remember, I'm in an office. The people around me have been nice about the background music, but too much "boom boom" coming through walls and floor would be going too far, I think. I'll see if I...

Elac Debut Reference DBR-62 Speaker Review

I got the KEF LSX. I thought they sounded weak, tinny, and compressed. Presently I have the POLK Audio ES20, which aren't bad at all, but I'd like a fuller sound and more detail, especially in the lower end. I really thought those would be "good enough," for the office, but I have really good...

Elac Debut Reference DBR-62 Speaker Review

I can get a second-hand pair of Q750 for about $600 (US). Unfortunately, the two you mention are only available new, and are about 4-6X more expensive:oops: Way out of my league... I can get the Elac DBR62 (used) for about $400, but I'm worried about shooting too low. I already bought two...

Elac Debut Reference DBR-62 Speaker Review

Thanks, Zolall. I'll tell you my situation. It's actually for my office, which is really big (maybe 25'X10'), but bleeds sound. I'm hoping for something that has a full sound at relatively low volume. I bought a pair of Polk bookshelf speakers, which sound nice, but I really have to crank them...

NanoGuiding has spoken. That is sort of what I was thinking, but I've not heard either speaker before... Others?

Elac Debut Reference DBR-62 Speaker Review

I'm rather confused about these. I live in Japan in a place where I can't listen to speakers without buying them :( Obviously they are really good speakers. But are they just really good FOR/AS "bookshelf" "relatively cheap" speakers? For example, I can get a pair of these second hand with a...

Polk Signature Elite ES20 Review (Bookshelf Speaker)

Actually, I have a set of Mirage Omnisat speakers, which are almost magical for the size of their sound vs. physical size. They are the satellite speakers I was talking about. As good as they are, reading the reviews in sites like this, you always want to try other things...

Polk Signature Elite ES20 Review (Bookshelf Speaker)

To be honest, I'm not sure yet. They are in my office, and have to wait til I can go in when no one is around to really take them for a ride. Certainly they are nice, and have good sound. I'm not disappointed, especially at the price. However, I was hoping I could play them at low volumes and...
