I didn't worry about the "high pitched" sound thing at all. BUT, my wife woke me up at 5Am this morning and said the high pitched noise coming from the speakers was driving her crazy (first time I left Fosi Amp and SMSL DAC on after I fell asleep). Now I'm a bit worried.

Well, lush sounds good to me:) Mine will be "gifted" to me by my employer, so I won't begrudge the price. When I retire, I hope to buy the equivalent of the 800 line; hopefully these will keep me happy til then.
