I’m paraphrasing a recent post of his about what the purpose of Olive’s critical listening program was. Get information to designers and engineers about their speakers. I will link the post when I have time to find it.

Dr. Olive mentioned in his blog that you designed and built those monitors Dr. Toole. Were these mid-field, baffle mounted in the overhead soffit (or wall mounts to left and right of console) like you frequently see.

I’m going to build on this, do you mind saying where. I have emails out to Dr. Olive and Dr. Corey on whether they have taken a stab at this, informally or formally. I just got Dr. Corey’s book and hope to start trying some of the tests this weekend.

Thank you so much, really appreciate that because there were some excellent posts, by many, on the issue of monitors, whether they be Brand A or Brand B as they pertain to being able to hear the attributes that real world audio/mixing engineers are listening for.
