I just got a Dayton audio bass shaker and fosi sub amp to attach to my couch to really capture the bass drum thump on Paul Simon's 50 ways to leave your lover. So far I find the extra rumble kind of anxiety inducing.

I think the problem with audio interfaces is the available chips that can do ADC and DAC. Topping has a line of interfaces and their performance as DACs is only slightly better than the competition which leads me to believe it is a limitation of the available chips. You know they are squeezing...

Hifiman is a weird company. Their lower priced headphones like the He400se and Sundara have great great frequency responses and low distortion but they seem to try to do the opposite with their more expensive models.

I would imagine the external power supply helps simplify the design process, cut down on noise and heat issues. Plus it makes a much smaller form factor. I have 2 LA90Ds and I just velcroed the power supplies to the back of my entertainment system to keep it all looking neat.

I agree. I went from a Pioneer SX-750 to a pair of LA90Ds. The current rise of superior Chinese audio products is actually very similar the rise of Japanese audio products in the 70s.

I've been thinking about upgrading my topping E50 to the an E70 for the 5v output and improved jitter performance over spdif (which is my main connection) but this seems to offer the same performance and functionality for a lot less money! Thanks for the review Amir!
