Another "critque my EQing with MSO" thread

Were your measurements all focused around the MLP? Also, did you 1-2 all pass filters per sub? What does REW show after applying the MSO filters?

Downgrade to KEF LS50 Meta from KEF R7 Meta

You should be able to use the NAD, as each subwoofer output is discrete. However, you may need Dirac Live Bass Control to be able to properly blend the two so they work together. Also - you cannot assume that placing a subwoofer on the other corner will be smoother - it is possible the best...

Downgrade to KEF LS50 Meta from KEF R7 Meta

What does the subwoofer only response look like? It seems you are sitting in a null, and different speakers will not fix that unless you plan to change the seating arrangement, or add a second subwoofer in a location that cancels the null

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Speaking of Q7's, I have a quick question that hopefully someone more knowledgeable knows the answer to: Why is the UNI-Q on top in the Q7, but located in the middle of the two woofers on the R7 line? What difference does the different mounting location make to the measurements?

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

After a few days with the Q6 meta, I can say that I am really enjoying the swap from the Q650c. Besides sounding less harsh, there is a much fuller sound, with Dirac taming some of the peaks below 500hz. Also, and this is anecdotal and I have no science to back it up - the Q650c I felt had...

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

I've got a Q6 meta coming in soon, I am excited to compare it against my Q650c. I'm still considering the swap of my Q350 for the Q Concerto's, but the cost/performance debate continues!

Multi-Sub Optimizer (MSO): Lessons Learned, Tips & Tricks

There is a bug with Dirac DLBC/DLBM and the RZ50 not using the correct high pass filters apparently. The best thing to do would be to Run MSO, then Dirac 1 point, set your house curve, set the crossovers using DLBC, and then measure in REW to see what it is actually doing. You may decide to...

Dirac best curve utilization in "bright" room

Hello everyone - I am looking for some opinions/ideas on designing a Dirac curve that can help my bright room. Unfortunately the couch is against a back wall but I have several acoustic panels setup. This is the only setup that will work in the room due to space and a fireplace. Basically, my...

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Has anyone been able to compare the Q650c to the Q6 Meta? The q650c in my listening space is definitely on the bright side, and when correcting full range in Dirac, other seating locations have mentioned that the sound is dull. If possible I would like to only EQ up to 500hz. The Q6 Meta seems...

Multi-Sub Optimizer (MSO): Lessons Learned, Tips & Tricks

I currently use Dirac, but I have used Audyssey in the past, and once I get the flat response from MSO, my Dirac measurements are flat as well, so there is not much FR adjustment to be done other than to create the house curve in the room correction app.

Multi-Sub Optimizer (MSO): Lessons Learned, Tips & Tricks

You're best bet would be to watch the video above to use MSO to get your response as flat as possible first. MSO will help you set the delays and apply PEQs/All pass filters to present to Audyssey only "1" subwoofer. Then you would use Audyssey to only apply a house curve to the subwoofer...

KEF Q Series with MAT Whitepaper

There is a small note below the graphs, the horizontal dispersion is top, vertical is middle, and impedance on the bottom.

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

I'm definitely interested in the Q Concerto, Q7 and Q6 but I find it odd that there has been not much in the way of reviews, or even personal anecdotes from people who have bought/listened to the speakers. Is everyone just waiting to jump until Erin/Amir reviews it?
