I have owned both. The F208s have a little higher maximum output but the BMR Towers are otherwise better in all respects.

After hearing both of these I came to the same conclusion. Different rooms and gear in each case though.

Guess mine was defective. Anyhow, now happily using a Wiim Ultra with Topping A70 Pro as preamp. Both units 100% reliable and top-notch sound quality.

Hopefully they revised the R2R volume control so that the switching is now a consistent “make before break” design, unlike that of the A8.

I acquired one of these recently. It is excellent! Loving the sound.

For what it’s worth, I have owned a Topping D20 DAC since 2014 and it’s still going strong.
