    Edifier MR4 Review (Budget Monitor)

^ As far as I know, maybe less than most with dsp, but if they are fully analog they should not have any latency, unless you mean nanoseconds which means nothing to me.

    Edifier MR4 Review (Budget Monitor)

Anyone know what the Latency is on these speakers? I think they have DSP so I assume they have latency.. I asked the customer support and they said they didn't know. I figured they might as when I asked Kali Audio about their speaker they told me it had 2 milliseconds latency.

    Edifier MR4 Review (Budget Monitor)

ahh, I'm not even close to turning these up to anywhere near max volume. Not that these are loud, they are not! Listening to them now they sound amazing on house/techno, but are a little lacking on metal sound like small speakers, but on the house music they seem big.

    Edifier MR4 Review (Budget Monitor)

^ Bizzare I've turned down the bass on them, and turned up the treble. The Bass to me seems amazing.. My main music is rock and metal but I like pop and techno electronic as well and the bass seems great to me...

    Edifier MR4 Review (Budget Monitor)

I really like these so far, I think I like them more than the Mackie Mr524 I have as well [ which I thought were great].. I wont say they are better, certainly not as loud, but up close at my desk where I use them I think they are just because of the smaller speaker, the Mackie's seem way too...

    M-Audio BX5 D3 | Active Monitor | Measurements, Teardown & Subjective Impressions

^Thanks I was gonna ask where you got it for 80, but I googled Thomann.. I knew European gear was half price in Europe [compared to north america with brands like Marshal and various guitar amp and audio makers], but why is American gear [M-Audio] half price in Europe? It's not the only product...

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

^Thanks.. I'm gonna buy a set of studio monitors and run it through my PC audio first, if it doesn't' sound as good as my soundcard than I will buy a DAC. Turns out I can run two soundcards at the same time. The tech support at Marian seraph said the interface I'm using supports multicard...

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

Tried my pc chip audio and I can run it at the same time as my PCI audio interface, lol. So I guess I just need a DAC or can use the one already on my pc.

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

Talking to the manufacturer of the soundcard I have the wordclock will not do anything for me, but my card does support multicard operation, and that I can use another card and have them both use the same asio driver I assume not losing performance in latency... I just need to find another dac...

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

i'm thinking maybe I can use my ADAT connection to connect to another dac or to expand to more channels? I guess I don't have ADAT and got it confused with the wordclock input, maybe I can use that as well to connect to another dac??

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

I use my audio interface as a AMP playing live and latency is an issue for me. Meaning I want to use either Thunderbolt or PCI type audio interfaces. I also don't know if having more analog outputs will help me wouldn't they still show up as the same device, meaning I could not separate what...

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

I do! What I want though is to have separate channels each going to a different set of speakers. To clarify I want my Guitar played through amp sims though the SERAPH AD2 to go through one set of speakers and for Music that I'm listening to/playing along with to go through another set of...

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

Thanks for the help.. @ Roland thanks also for the DAC suggestions...Even with a AES dac though I still would not be using it as intended as I would be going in from my current DAC into another.. I think my AES outs were intended for AES monitors but they are far too expensive for me.

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

I also have found Mini USB to AES Audio Signal Adapter Converter Cable 16/24/32bit 44.1k-192KHzAD. Maybe usb would be better than SPIDF?

DAC that can take AES/EBU inputs

Is the AES/EBU connector I have. My intention is to run my AES connection into a DAC then into my regular analog studio monitors.. There are two XLR looking connectors so I'm a little concerned why some of the devices only have one connection port instead of two?
