Well, the EP is a cheap power brute with linear PSU and it does what it says, they are good on subs and dirt cheap used. The long wiring probably kills the distortion values. Behringer likes making cheaper clones of more expensive brands and the EP kinda reminds me of QSC RMX (850) inside.

How can I set a hard limit of 16/44.1 on the S/PDIF output? I have an A8 but the settings should be the same, though I can only select max sample rate of 96 or 192KHz.

This is another reminder as why no one should buy NAD products. All planned obsolescence with placing C-tier capacitors next to hot heatsinks (knowing NAD there will be at least a few real hotspots on the PCB) and they are either stupid or just don't care and still drop a lot of voltage over...

Also mind you - the Eversolo has a built in M.2 slot for NVMe drives, I run a 4TB Lexar in mine and it can run as a NAS within the network. I haven't checked the A8 but the A6 was slow as molases for copying large files, I think it has a built in NVMe to USB3.0 bridge or something similar...

As expected, I started with the A6 and now upgraded to the A8 for analog volume control - it does everything you'd expect. Regarding the analog volume control measurements, isn't it just a passive stepped attenuator, hence such good results? Otherwise it looks even better, if it's an active stage.

I think you're grossly overestimating the impact of ASR, it's actually minimal in the hi-end world. In fact, it won't even make a dent in dCS's reputation because it's a different customer base altogether.
