Suggestions for wireless speakers for connecting to WiiM Pro Plus

Sorry for not being clear. 1. The WiiM is connected to the internet via Ethernet cable. Steaming music from the internet. 2. The AVR-1912 is connected to the Line-out of the WiiM 3. Wired passive speakers are connected to the AVR-1912 and playing music in the living room. Ideally this setup...

Suggestions for wireless speakers for connecting to WiiM Pro Plus

The office is my wife's. She's not fond of cables. Placement of the speakers depending on size and ceiling mountability. It will be approximately 2-3 meters to listening position. The WiiM is sitting on a Denon AVR-1912 and connected via ethernet cable. Budget, 400€. More when needed for...

Suggestions for wireless speakers for connecting to WiiM Pro Plus

I don't have any preference actually. As far as I know there's 'only' Air Play and Bluetooth to choose from. It would be nice to have a protocol that could be expanded to multiple rooms in sync.

Thank you for your reply, but I'm afraid it reads like a rare Chinese dialect to me. I think I'll stick with my username for a while

Professional audio monitoring for video editing studio

Thanks, that's the answer I was asking for . You're probably right. But since I'm video editing for my daily bread I need to ask. I plan to keep these speakers for a long time and don't want to regret any future connectivity.

I see what you mean. But I'm enjoying really good sound during editing work. It brings me inspiration for trailers etc.

I was about to pull the trigger on Black Friday deal on a pair of Neumann KH 120 II. Then I discovered there's a version with AES67 connectivity. Do I need this?

Checking on low quality playback environments was also a reason that kept me from investing in high quality speakers (the main reason being the expertise of the recordists). The content would predominantly be played on laptops/desktops. This changed for some during lockdown times. Theatres were...

Professional audio monitoring for video editing studio

Yes, the professional recordists that I work with do a great job, it's an art as you say. Simple audio recordings I do myself (an interview, maybe a string quartet), but I leave live opera to the specialists: large orchestra in the pit, singers with transmitter mics, sometimes a chorus. And all...

Professional audio monitoring for video editing studio

Thank you for your extensive answer. Good to know that the Neumann KH 120 II have their own DAC built in. Sounds very good to feed them digital then. Yes, I'm doing everything on a single iMac. We mainly produce for the Internet, so no critical Rec709 color correction needs to be done...

Professional audio monitoring for video editing studio

Dear all, My video editing studio deserves an upgrade in the audio department. Sound isn't my speciality, but I've always considered good sound at least as important as good image quality. We make multi-cam recordings of classical music, mainly opera, which is complicated for sound recordings...

I agree that the explanation in the video lacks scientific backup. It's probably intentionally aimed to attract the attention of a broader than knowledgable audience . Thank you for the link to the more scientific explanation. Thus 'the music' isn't in the resistor.

    Moondrop Chu II IEM Review

I bought them too. When I first tried them I heard no bass at all, they sounded like a really good tin can: detailed but no bass at all. I also have different (inner) ears than what the Moondrops seem to be made for. But then I mounted the largest rubber tips (don't know the proper name), man...

Wharfedale Linton with HEADquarter Audio modification

You're right of course. I'm not trusting (or judging) anyone because of their nationality. It's just my overall experience combined with what I've seen on their website that has drawn my interest. And still I question their modification, that's why I ask here if anyone knows something about it.

I know we shouldn't generalise, but Germans usually don't promise too much when it comes to engineering. Rather the opposite. Being a resident of a neighbouring country, this is immediately noticeable when working with people from Germany. Anyway, I've asked the company for "high resolution...
