    Thanks! That is really cool. I knew about Audyssey but I had not heard of this. My splitter cables are on the way. Down the road I may get some better bookshelf speakers with larger drivers and a separate amp, but for now I am looking forward to getting this sub setup. I appreciate all the info!

    Unfortunately the Alesis monitors don't have a high pass filter or line/sub out options, nor does the subwoofer have a line out of any type. That would make things easier. Fortunately the subwoofer has a low pass filter. I had considered the Creative Sound Blaster X4 for this type of setup but...
