Thanks for the reply again. Im not really worried about the display burning out. I just don't like unnecessary displays and this one, for my usage, would be just that. Cymax design in monoblocks with no displays would be 100% the ideal setup for me.

@vipersg Do you know if its possible to just unplug the front display? Does the unit still work normally.

Is there a vendor expect apollon in Europe that offers similar build to Cymax? I would not need the screen but would prefer to have Linear PSU feeding the op-amps.

Yes i know. For me the idea that you put well implemented purifi against 25K class A amp is nothing more than astonishing. We've come a long way in the past years.

I have the same output issue. Any off the shelf attenuators around that dont mess the sound? Annoying feature for sure.

Is there any reason sound quality wise to use 1ET9040BA instead of 1ET6525SA? This seems like the deal of the century if Im reading the specs correctly.

Any of the ’higher end’ interfaces will sound good, just s bit different with different features. Take your pick from Burl, Lynx, Apogee, Prism, DAD, Merging. There are a million more important factors to consider than differences in this level of interface AD quality when it comes to mixing...

Not very valid as it just introduces an extra ad-da loop before you get to listen to it.

If you have a chance take a listen to the unit. The sound is sinply superb. Probably do to the combination of the chip implementation and the filters.

Their dacs are also used in mastering studios besides hifi. They simply sound very good and the bricasti support and upgrade paths for their products is top notch. I own one of their reverb units and allrhough its pure dsp, there is simply nothing like it on the market.

Thanks for the right measurements. This a great example that you should really know what you're doing when working with pro equipment.

This is getting way out of hand. The same stuff repeated ’bass traps dont work’ etc. over and over again. While ignoring people’s good willed explanations how things work in the real world. There are guys like T.L on the thread sharing their wisdom on the subject for gods sake.

This is exactly how it is. Modern music since 50’s is produced with reverb, delay and all the spatial information allready on the recording. This is something that seems to be extremely hard for some people on this thread to grasp. Rooms can have higher RT and still sound nice but it needs to...
