    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

UPDATE - turns out that some noise is inherent to the speakers, as confirmed by Mesanovic. TO CLARIFY, this is not truly an issue. The moment I move further away, the noise virtually disappears. I can only hear it because I’m sitting so close to them, closer than what is recommended. They...

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

Not gonna give up yet! Gonna see if power source changes anything.

Did that too, haha. Same result.

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

Yeah, I’ve turned them to -6 right from the get go. It’s still audible, unfortunately. I am curious if it’s because of how they’re currently powered. Gonna experiment with that. I don’t mind. I prefer the cardioid dispersion via DSP. Opens up possibilities for the future!

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

The Mesanovic CDM65’s are in and set up! They sound awesome, and are pretty much the solution I needed for my space. However, a few “small” issues. 1) Because of space constraints, my listening position is maybe a bit more than 2.5’ away from them. But even in that position, it measures pretty...

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

Pretty much “I’ll wait until Kali makes a cardioid speaker”. Sorry, I don’t know much more.

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

I personally don’t know anything. I just keep hearing about it from others on this forum.

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

Yeah, that sounds about right. I’m excited to get my pair soon, hopefully within the next two weeks. The Mesanovics are, as far as I know, the most “affordable” cardioid speaker that also measures really well. We shall see what happens if/when Kali releases their cardioid speaker, or if DD...

Meant to respond to this. What else were you listening to at the time?

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

I'm glad to hear them working out well for you in your space! I'm curious to hear how they will integrate in my treated studio space, since I won't be taking advantage of them being so close to a reflective back wall. I believe mine are in the late 20's serial range. Very excited to put them to...

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

They are, on paper, very similar to the D&D’s, maybe even more so the Kii’s given that their dispersion is based on DSP and not inherent physical design. Both the D&D’s and Kii’s are pretty popular in the recording studio world, and with the Mesanovics accomplishing very “similar” results at a...

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

I guess by chatter, I mean in comparison to the equal competition and “small-ness” on this Forum, such as the March Audio Sointuva (which are technically different because they’re passive, but they more roughly the same price point, and measure extremely well) or even the AsciLabs stuff. There’s...

    Mesanovic CDM65 love?

Hey everyone, I'm about to acquire a pair of Mesanovic CDM65's, and I couldn't be more excited to use them on a daily basis in my studio! What I'm curious about is... why isn't there more discussion about them? I've been keeping an eye on these speakers ever since I saw Erin's review on it...

AsciLab speakers are about to launch

These look like the perfect upgrade from my Amphion One15's as studio monitors! I may be in Korea in April of next year... I may have to find a way to bring a pair of A6B actives back to Canada with me, haha.

March Audio Sointuva WG v. AWG

People! This is why I enjoy this forum. Did not know about the AsciLabs till these posts. The A6B Active seems up my alley, may be worth waiting for it. As for the topping, I forgot that its power is pretty low. Neeevermind about that.

March Audio Sointuva WG v. AWG

Hey friends. Long time lurker, and big fan. I’m curious… I’m thinking about upgrading to a pair of March Audio Sointuva’s with a plan to power them with a Topping LA90. But I’m curious about the differences between versions. I know what the differences are between the WG and AWG are on...
