Looking for recommendations for my headphone stack

With import and tax, the Atom DAC 2 costed here around 213USD. That's 2.5 times 80USD. A good warranty is always nice, but not if I have to ship it to another continent.

Do you have a good playlist with binaural recordings? Have you tested Atmos as well, was there any notable difference? Interesting, I had many headphones before, and It just changed totally with the HD 800s now the sound comes from every direction but only if the recording support it.

For me personally, there is nearly no audible differed between 67 and 100%. I think i have used this website before. I don't know, but I really like the stock tuning. I have tested like 20-30 EQ presets, all sound worse to me. Is there any source to read/watch everything important about a DAC...

I played a little around with these 4 bands but nothing sound better as with all 10 bands disabled.

Well, let me look on another website. I'm not paying $36.29 shipping for these cables to europe. That's crazy.

BTW, the Atom DAC+ is discontinued and only the Atom DAC 2 is available to purchase.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I'm going to buy one for testing purposes. Is the Heresy a notable upgrade to the magni?

How do I connect the DAC to the pc over the bad sounding motherboard output? It's a Z690. Is there any DAC I can use directly over PCIe, or is this just a bad idea?

If I drive my magni directly from my motherboard, it sounds worse. So what's the best way to swap my sound blaster out? With a new sound card or with a DAC?

Ohh no, so I'm definitely going to swap it out. But I think my Magni + can't drive the HD 800s on low gain loud enough without my sound blaster.

It's a very old one, but somehow it still works.

Thanks, but I have APO and Peace installed. I tested a lot out, but I always went back to stock. I think all the EQs I have tried reduced the soundstage and make the songs not sound like crystal clear, everything sound blunt or dull. What's the best way to found my own eq preset?

Maybe improve the soundstage. I don't know if my sound card is holding me back, I never had a dedicated DAC before. I don't know what exactly to improve but if there is any opportunity I want at least test it.

I'm using Linux and Windows. I have tried out many eq. presets like Oratroy 1990, Harman target and many more I have found in the www. Nearly all the eq. presets reduced the sound stage massively and I don't think it's worth.

I think for the beginning, I'm running a decent Headphone stack, but I'm looking atm for some improvements. Currently, I'm running Tidal or FLAC Files → Sound blaster Z → Very good coper cable → Shiit Magni + → Sennheiser HD 800s with stock cable. I think my none existing DAC can replace my...

    Looking for stable IEMs

Thanks, I will check them out. Mhh I really like open back but when I sit in the train I can't use them, so I need closed back ones.

    Looking for stable IEMs

Like I said, this time the weak plastic broke from the IEM itself and not the cable and I need new ones now.

    Looking for stable IEMs

I'm using IEMs only when I'm on the go, such as during sports, going to work and to the supermarket, or similar activities. At my desk, I only use over-ear headphones, but I don't want to carry big headphones with me and my favorite are open back. I don't think the temperature kills the IEMs...

    Looking for stable IEMs

I’m looking for new wired IEM that are very stable and don’t break after a few months, while also providing good sound quality. I’ve been using the Truthear x Crinacle Zero:RED IEMs for the past few months, but one side of the earphones is now broken. This always happens with in-ear...
