    WiiM Ultra

I setup my WiiM Ultra yesterday, I had to increase the subwoofer trim on the WiiM Ultra to +6 and increase the subwoofer trim on the PB1000 Pro from -30 to -10. Is there any risk of clipping the signal an damaging the SVS Plate amp? This is a known concern with AVR's if the subwoofer trim is...

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

Got the UBR62's. The cabinet is a HUGE improvement and significantly less lively compared to the UBR52's. No resonance issues I can detect I'm surprised how much "brighter" both the UB52's and UBR62 sound compared to my KEF R3s, not a complaint just an observation.

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

I'm sure I will, but to be honest I preferred the UB52's for their size. This is PC/Nearfield setup and the UBR62 take significantly more space.

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

yup! it's pretty ridiculous that only 1/4 (25%) of the UB52's I ordered didn't 'have this issue. I never mentioned the first pair I purchased because those are my parents, luckily they have no issues. I'm just stunned that ELAC continues to manufacture and sell these without addressing the...

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

Returning the UB52's, the dealer is selling me their in-store demo UBR62 $600 off.

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

should I test my luck with a 4th pair? or maybe 5's the lucky number lol

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

I just received the 3rd pair, now both speakers have an annoying resonance at 560hz, I don't know how ELAC could consciously sell these with this issue. Someone needs to get fired in QC or Management for not addressing this flaw, this is ridiculous! On top of that one speaker is missing a Grill!

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

First pair was via Amazon, second pair through a dealer who reached out to exchange them ASAP. I'll give them another try, hopefully the third one works out.

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

I would but the one good speaker's vinyl is peeling on 3 corner's . It's a shame because I really wanted a front ported coaxial 3-way for nearfield.

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

I want/need something with front ports since this is for PC use/nearfield. I think I'm going to return them and try their DBR62's. At least there's no coaxial to mess up. I'm quite disappointed with their lack of QC tbh.

Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 Review (bookshelf speaker)

I recently purchased a set from amazon, one tweeter was blown. Returned and ordered another set and one speaker has a massive resonance issues between 460-600hz.... I feel pretty discouraged at this point and I'm debating if I should try a 3rd time...... seriously does ELAC not have ANY QC?

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Reference Meta uses 5.25" Uni-Q Q7/11/Concerto uses 4" Uni-Q Also reference Meta can handle 2x the power and has a higher SPL ceiling. I was just pointing out that max SPL and sensitivity is down VS the previous Q series. I have no doubt the quality/measurements will be superior but there is a...

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Sensitivity and SPL is down across the lineup, which is what I pointed out in my original comment. The difference is minor and likely inaudible but it's a measurable difference according to KEF. I'm looking forward to compression testing with an 80hz crossover from Erin's Audio Corner to see if...

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

    it is (minus the 2-way bookshelf speakers) Q7 Meta 87dB vs Q750 88dB Q6 Meta 86dB vs Q650c 87dB Not really comparable but the Q11 Meta 89dB vs Q950 91dB The Q1/Q8, Q3 don't use the same Uni-Q as the Q Concerto/Q11/Q7/Q6

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

UBR62 are $2,000 In Canada and the Q Concerto Meta $1,800 CDN UBR62 are $1,200 USD and Q Concerto Meta $1300 USD

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Maybe, Perhaps they didn't want to use the R series 5" Uni-Q and they likely wanted to find another use for their new 4" Uni-Q. The 4"Uni-Q is likely a better driver, I can't wait to see the compression testing with/without an 80hz crossover. Price wise the Concerto is a direct competitor to...

    KEF Q Meta is Coming

Interesting the Q Concerto Meta have lower sensitivity and max SPL than the Q3 Meta. Likely has to do with the smaller tweeter/uni-q 4" mid-woofer + .75 Inch tweeter vs 6.5" woofer +1 inch tweeter. The Uni-Q on the concerto/towers/center i'm guessing is derived from the LS60's or maybe even...

    Tonewinner AD7300 7-channel amp

I hear your concerns, for me it was an easy decision. Up here in Canada we get insanely gouged beyond the dollar exchange. It would of cost $700-$800+ for a comparable Emotiva or Monoprice, plus dealing with warranty is a pain for us. There's roughly 2 years of reviews/feedback which is 99%...

    Tonewinner AD7300 7-channel amp

Chinese will build to spec. You want cheap, they'll build you cheap. You want quality, they'll build you quality but you have to pay. I think this is more of a case of using unorthodox/misleading ways to represent their power. Who uses 3% THD? why is there no FR listed for all channels driven...

    Tonewinner AD7300 7-channel amp

I just got this amp and it sounds near identical to the Denon AVR-x4500H until I get to -10db, I'm guessing the Denon starts to struggle at this volume. I suppose this could give the illusion of clarity but all its doing IMO is maintaining a clean, distortion free sound! In Stereo it does seem...
