Hello Audio fans I'm looking for a smallish stereo boombox with a built-in MP3 player (so that my son can choose audio stories and songs without a big screen). However the boombox should also have Airplay (to connect to my Roon HiFi setup). Any suggestions of models?

Using mconnect Player Lite on my iPhone to listen to my music on the phone from a UPnP server. Works well. Now I would like to download songs for offline listing. Has anybody achived this? If the Lite version can't do it, can the paid version (connect Player) do it?

Follow-up: I got MinimServer configured properly. (Firewall issue - a helpful soul from the MinimServer forum guided me through this.) - Now it works: After selecting -> By Genre -> Chamber Music I then can choose -> Albums and then I see all albums in the Chamber Music genre. Wonderful!! @...

Thanks for the info! Cool. Does mconnect act as a mere remote for other "renderers" (I think this is the lingo for Muisc output devices) or can it play the songs itself as well? Which Mediaserver do you run on the Syno? "Audio Station"? Or another package? Or even something totally outside...

Plex app looks like more for video. Is it any good just for music listening (and diwloading frommthe server)?
