And the device is much cooler in standby as well.

My order from wiim audio Germany just shipped. I also raised a feature request for individual volume defaults per source trough the App. Maybe if more do do that it will draw Wiims attention.

I touched my device this morning again and it is unfortunately still very warm after a night in standby mode. It also uses between 8-9 watts of power in standby mode which is too much in my opinion. Especially if 5w of this consumption is going into heating the environment.

Its simply money we spend for gear that used to last for decades in the past. This issue already in the beginning of the life cycle gives me not really confidence that its the same with this product.

Its really a pity that Wiim is saying nothing about this. Even a "we are looking into this" would be good. But complete silence is no good sign to bei honest.

They maybe could fix it by software update if they optimize the standby behaviour. It definitely uses too much power in standby when the device gets this warm. If they reduce the standby power consumption maybe the noise is also getting removed by that. At least in standby mode.

I ordered two amps, which both arrived today. Both of them have the whining noise. But on one unit it is definitely louder than on the other. Only thing I am missing is gain setting per input. Otherwise it runs pretty good.

With the latest Update you can activate and deactivate autosense for every digital source individually. So you could deactivate it only at the HDMI input. But the unit is switching on by itself as soon as I start to play audio from the TV so autosense works at the optical input. It is just not...

Does somebody know how exactly the autosense feature works? I have just received my M10 V2 and when I play something via Spotify connect and start a show on the TV which is connected via optical, the NAD is not switching to the optical source. Autosense is of course activated in the settings.
