FS/US: Universal Audio Twin X DUO Heritage / x4 Heritage

Selling a few interfaces - I had planned to do a multichannel room correction setup w/ Audiolense but I don't think I'll ever get around to it. I tried out the x4 briefly, but the DUO and x6 are open box. x6 - SOLD x4 Heritage - $1000 Duo Heritage - $650 Will ship anywhere, paypal is probably...

    Dutch & Dutch 8c Review

I use them a little further than that in a terrible room; I regret nothing and enjoy them daily.

    Upgrade from R3

What's your budget? Have you optimized what you already own (treatment, DSP, maybe some augment like BACCH)?

    Musical fidelity ms6i

Unless you really like the aesthetic appeal of this, I would say there are many cheaper options that perform better. Anything by Topping or SMSL springs to mind

Genelec 7040 APM enough for the 8331?

There is no 7340; if you want SAM/GRADE you need 7350 at a minimum. I'd just keep saving for 7350. They're frequently available used and are very reliable. Other subs can be had cheaper but SAM is quite a time saver comparatively. You can be done in <30 minutes even if you've never done it...

AsciLab speakers are about to launch

When you say "cardioid down to 40Hz" for the BX10C, how are you defining that? For example, Kii Three CD spec is "4.8dB (54Hz – 1kHz, slowly rising thereafter)" Will the cardioid model DSPs offer any boundary settings similar to Kii or D&D?

Lady Gaga presents her 7th album MAYHEM – Review – ( high-resolution stereo vs Dolby Atmos)

I realize front wide is not very common, but I would love if you could add them to these graphs if you plan on doing these analysis regularly. Maybe its selection bias, but in my Atmos listening endeavors I often hear (and confirm in my HTP1 volume monitor) more from front wide than I do...

    Neumann KH 150 Monitor Review

It sounds like you have a pretty good idea what you're after, and of course you can always add a sub if you feel something lacking. Personally if I knew 100% I would never add a sub, and was tied to the price and space constraints implied by the 8341's, I'd probably look at Buchardt actives...

    Neumann KH 150 Monitor Review

That resulted in me spending $0 with Genelec? I guess you could be right, but doesn't seem like a winning strategy.

    Neumann KH 150 Monitor Review

IMO, absolutely. But that's my listening tastes in terms of content and volume, maybe it doesn't apply to your situation. I recall one post on here saying any speaker smaller than 15" needs a sub, I think that's a little extreme but subs solve more problems than just volume in almost all...

    Neumann KH 150 Monitor Review

Can you elaborate on this point? Those are great monitors, l currently own 8331/8341/KH120 and owned 150s, but none of them make me feel like I don't need a sub except maybe the 8341 at extremely close (1ft) listening distance.

JBL 708i Monitor Review (DSP: Part 2)

I think that's part I'm struggling to understand - whatever abnormalities are introduced by an incomplete crossover would manifest in-room, so why wouldn't a sufficiently powerful room correction system compensate for both the crossover and the room issues in aggregate? The room correction...

JBL 708i Monitor Review (DSP: Part 2)

I highly doubt i'm the first to ask, but my searches aren't fruitful so far. Is there a significant benefit to using the JBL EQ when you plan on using Dirac or Audiolense anyways?

    Totem Acoustics Rainmaker Speaker Review

Was anything based on this design ever released as prices came down/tech improved? I'm not sure if what you're describing is similar to BACCH, although it sounds like the result would be similar. "Relocated front loudspeakers" - sorry if I missed it, how are yours configured? It sounds like...

BACCH4MAC Short Review / first impressions

Anyone know the minimum hardware requierments for the full version? I've emailed, but no response. The site lists: The latest version of BACCH-dSP (14) is fully compatible with Mac OS (14.x Sonoma), as well as all previous Mac OS versions down to, and including, 10.14 (Mojave). It is also...

Center speaker 37° lower than main left/right. Will it be better if LCR same level?

Will it be better, probably a little. But really, what can you do about it short of switching to a projector and acoustically transparent screen? If all the other aspects are dialed (same/similar speakers, treatment, EQ) I wouldn't stress it. Mine is 40" higher than L/R, angled down, and it...

    Neumann KH150

I have - I sold the 150's and kept Genelec (then eventually D&D). So, I guess that's my review? There's nothing useful I can tell you that hasn't already been presented here or available in measurements, I just prefer the 'brighter' Genelec sound.
