A question avout SMSL C200 DAC

Yes, you certainly can. I do it without any problems.

Fosi Audio V3 Mono Amplifier Review

Yes, you need to register and order on Kickstarter. I bought the V3 via Fosi's Kickstarter campaign. It was delivered to Poland without any problems, at no additional cost. No customs charges/VAT were added although your mileage here may vary depending on local rules/customs or tax authority...

    Fosi Audio V3 Amplifier Review

Quite easily. If you need Bluetooth or tone controls, BT20A Pro. If you need neither, V3.

    SMSL A300 Stereo Amplifier Review

I'd stick with Fosi for low-cost amplifiers for now. SMSL makes great DACs and headphone amps though :)

SMLS C200 Stops Working When I Remove My Headphones

Not exactly dies. It sometimes (in my experience maybe once or twice a month) stopped playing after the headphones had been unplugged and needed a restart, which took like 10 to 15 seconds. Somewhat annoying but not exactly fatal. As far as I can see, the firmware update has remedied this in my...

Fully anticlockwise does it, the knob does not have to (and indeed cannot) be pressed.

Understanding the Appeal of Cheap Class A/B Amplifiers: Your Thoughts?

These devices probably appear to buyers and their peers as simulacra, i.e. imitations, of much more expensive equipment. From a certain distance, they look respectable (lots of controls, blue LEDs), and it is only on closer examination that they come across as what they really are, i.e. cheap...

AOSHIDA SMSL C200 Review (DAC & Amp)

You can choose to connect your iPhone to the DAC using a Lightning to USB-C cable. Then you will get better quality than (any) Bluetooth connection, since Bluetooth, even LDAC (see the link below), is lossy. Using a cabled connection, you will be able to listen to hi-res music. The question is...

AOSHIDA SMSL C200 Review (DAC & Amp)

An iPhone won’t use LDAC regardless of what you do on the SMSL; it is the phone that controls the codec and Apple uses AAC instead of LDAC.

    Fosi Audio V3 amplifier discussion

Topping PA5 was relatively cheap, but not THAT cheap. US $350 is more than three times the price of the Fosi V3.

    Fosi Audio V3 Amplifier Review

There appear to be two sets of specs stated on two Fosi sites (fosiaudioshop and fosiaudio). The frequency response spec on the fosiaudioshop website is as follows (which appears to tally with Amir's measurements). The rest of specs also look realistic, apart from the maximum power output of...

Well, one appears to be missing a screw… I hope I get one with the screw in place!

Anybody measured jitter from a computer?

When I connect my PC to the SMSL C200 DAC using an optical Toslink cable, I have to set DPLL (digital phase-locked loop) on the DAC quite high (7 out of 9 for 44.1 kHz and 8 out of 9 for 192 kHz), otherwise the DAC cannot lock on to the signal, which is manifested by an intermittent stutter...

Fosi Audio BT20A Pro Amplifier Review

32V here, just lukewarm (much cooler than a typical AB amp with a similar power rating). At idle, power consumption around 4 watts. Playing music at reasonable volume, ca. 5 watts. I suspect it runs much cooler with the 32V PSU.

    Fosi Audio V3 amplifier discussion

Possibly; still, if you know that you don't need the maximum power, the amp should run a bit cooler / possibly have a longer life when fed 32 volts.

    Fosi Audio V3 amplifier discussion

Yes (US$ 90/110 depending on the PSU), it is already listed in their shop as available for preordering: https://fosiaudioshop.com/collections/all/products/fosi-audio-v3-300w-x2-2-0-channel-hi-fi-stereo-audio-amplifier-with-tpa3255-chip

Power cable tech talk and a little help for Amir at Audio Science Review

Well, if used against snake oil vendors, it is fighting fire with fire. With cables, the tests Amir runs are completely non-destructive and do not stress them in any manner (unlike forcing amps into protection by connecting low impedance loads, etc.). Anyway, EU legislation gives consumers...

Power cable tech talk and a little help for Amir at Audio Science Review

Very much true I suspect. In the EU, however, this model would not be sustainable (i.e. extremely expensive things could still get reviewed) owing to the 14-day return period for distance sales, provided the reviewer managed to be quick enough.

Power cable tech talk and a little help for Amir at Audio Science Review

Well, he obviously has his business which he certainly values and which could be jeopardized by Amir's reviews. Imagine what would happen if everyone became reasonable and stopped buying overpriced cables, putting their money to better use instead (I know, I know…).
