What's your favorite cool name for a scientific theory or event... like "Occam's Razor" or "Maxwell's Demon"?

Helmholtz Resonator--How to Experiment the Right Way

We've all read lots of papers on the theory, design and construction (and failures) of building HRs. But I came across yet another paper that made me laugh. https://nicodeshler.github.io/NicoDeshler/Assets/PDFs/Physics_111B_Helmholtz_Resonator.pdf It starts off with the typical dry...

    Revel M16 Speaker Review

Sorry, I'm the one being dense, or at least not transparent. I was just eyeballing the SPL from a meter while watching Force Awakens, and it was 75 to 82 in the loud parts, and 88 in the really big boom explosions. That all said, I went entirely sideways and just bought 3 Kali IN-8 v2 from...

    Revel M16 Speaker Review

How would the M16 serve in an HT, 24.25' x 19.1' x 10.5'. The plan would be M16 as LCR and S16 as Wides, Sides, and Backs (and then something comparable for tops). Listening position is 11.33' from L/R. Main Amp is Buckeye 8 ch, NC502MP (325w). They would be 62" in from L and R walls and 32"...

    "Scalar Wave Generator" for Review?

Of course, @amirm would first have to find a way to feed it an input signal: Scalar Wave Generator- Hyperdimensioal Pyramid of Quantum Scalar Waves. Check out the other items in the seller's store. Flux capacitor anyone? PT Barnum would be proud.

    Aural Diversity

This may explain a lot about why there are such disagreements on the sound of audio. https://news.stlpublicradio.org/show/st-louis-on-the-air/2023-02-23/the-world-is-built-for-people-with-perfect-hearing-but-83-of-people-dont-have-it

My acoustically treated Home Theatre (updated)

So the "length" of your port tube was simply the depth of the plastic end cap (or whatever you used) say 12mm?

Whole house audio - ceiling speakers for kitchen

Which Beales did you get, and how have they turned out? I'm looking at their in-ceilings for LCR and sub duty.
