Been looking for a decent DAC with HDMI ARC and CEC to use some powered speakers with my TV and it seems like these two are the best two options for this scenario. Does anyone have experience with both? They are both about the same price so just weighing my options.

This seems like a pretty neat device assuming it tests well that I feel like a lot of people could be interested in! Do you know of any other affordable devices that will allow you to use a modern TVs eARC volume control with any powered studio monitors? A lot of great studio monitors out there...

Early MK1s did not have an RCA input either.

Incorrect. The MK1 also had a passive radiator and were all made in USA. I believe the MK2 was made overseas.

I just ordered one for your recommendation. The performance difference in the tests seem to favor the BC3. But I will trust your judgment and give it a try. Just looking for the best option for my money

I was able to get a pair of HR824 MK1s for $200 on the secondhand market. The HR824 is a large step above the MR824.

According to JBL's measurements, the EON615 appears to have a better response. At a fraction of the price, might be worth testing?
