NAD C 3050 Integrated Amplifier Review

+ $300 for the DIRAC license. Great price, but I'd gladly pay the extra for the NAD looks if I were in the market.

NAD C 3050 Integrated Amplifier Review

Is there a receiver with DIRAC available for less than $1300? Availability of DIRAC in anything under $1K is rare. NC252MP modules or something in this NAD would have been nice of course, but Amir's rec considering the whole package is fair.

NAD C 3050 Integrated Amplifier Review

Nonsensical comparison. A single box with streaming (roon ready, airplay, the works), phono pre, DIRAC, sub out, VU meters, trendy looks, and good enough performance... easiest recommendation ever for normies who want a nice stereo.

Had the 2019 Pepiere Gorges recently and it was gorgeous. Thanks for the warning. Preparing myself.

Wine thread - what are you enjoying?

Happened to have 3 all-time favorites tonight. Prestige Muscadet doesn't get the love it deserves (Hardy, Bretaudeau, Vincent Caille, the Pepiere crus...)... honestly it's most of what I want to drink these days. Ulli Stein's Mosel Cab Vom Berg makes me giddy every time. And every once in a...

Wine thread - what are you enjoying?

Ludes! Unhinged acid levels in those wines and inexpensive back vintages that are in perfect shape.

Benanti and I Custodi for me as well, although I don’t know current pricing.

The decline and fall of Reflex.

It's true. The Canon 6D is still a great camera and around $400 used now. That plus the 40/2.8 pancake is a fantastic, compact, inexpensive combo.

Wine thread - what are you enjoying?

Lauer and Forge? That's bait in these parts. Seriously though, 2013 Fass 5? That's one of Lauer's best year in year out. How was it?

Wine thread - what are you enjoying?

Quite the box. I’d say those bottles are their own occasion!

Wine thread - what are you enjoying?

Curious as well. Ovello and Pora usually show the best young in my experience.

Cynar is real. Shouldn’t be that good.

Wine thread - what are you enjoying?

Thought of that review when I posted this actually. I think your notes on the '18 Marnes Blanche would have been comfortingly bland compared to the Overnoy.

Wine thread - what are you enjoying?

Sounds lovely @SIY A few bottles from the other night. Part of a minor personal Jura renaissance.

What interesting and tasty cheese are you enjoying today? This is like the spirits thread but for cheese.

Recently tried a cheese from Parish Hill that blew my mind. Rare to find American made cheese this intense (my wife could barely stand watching me eat it). I suggest all of you in the northeast USA try something from them if you see it.

    Food Science Review

The Combustion thermometer he made is great. I’ve been using it since release and bought it for multiple friends. The time prediction for large cuts comes in handy. I usually rest steaks for 10 minutes or so so I have time to get everything else together. 10-15 degrees below target like he...
