They hiss for me as well, have them plugged into an AVR receiver RCA pre outs. Set at 0, even with AVR off, they hiss audibly until about 1 meter for me. I listen at bit more than 2 meters so it doesn't bother me.

I can confirm, they are the best headphone I've tried so far, lots of detail and great imaging (maybe not the widest soundstage but wide enough for me). I also listen to a lot of rock (alternative/indie/prog etc) and they work well with that, they really pull you into the music.

I hope they come out with a D5V or something similar, bass down to 40Hz and take out those horrible grilles that make them look like 90s cheap pc speakers.

It's not on your list but I recommend the Edifier stax S3, if you don't care about ANC. Wirecutter featured them as well. I am now a planar magnetic driver believer :)

If you listen at low volumes, 25W could be fine, but you need to see how it handles low impedance (4 ohm) speakers, as it takes more current from the amp. You can find good quality cheap class D amps with not much Wattage but that can still handle 4 ohms.
