I've gotten the full version since it was 30% off and have ordered the Eversolo EM-01 calibrated mic to try as it's Dirac Compatible and also is a bit cheaper than the Umik-1 here where I live.

As mentioned in a seperate thread and a bit earlier in this thread SMSL has probably wrong numbering on the filters from 4 or 5 and up. Trying to output both balanced and rca at the same time makes my unit sound weird and I need to powercycle. It should work when this is an option. NOS...

He doesn't like dac's with a lot of filters and adjustable possibillities. He got lost in the UI and ended up with probably a bad combination. To me it's a clean detailed and transparent dac, but with a few bugs. I hope for a firmware update to fix the bugs and also the filter positions...

Just a guess, but as the DMP-6A practically is a computer, making it completely shut off and empty all stored cache of temporary fileinformation might be a very good idea. Standbymode won't do that.

Newly received Master Edition on second day of playing. No problem with XLR or RCA sounding bassheavy or muffled. Must be an isolated problem to a unit or two. Not anything sounding very different from digital outputs either. Just good sound, beatiful product, and lots of hours enjoying good music.

My Master Edition is arriving on my doorstep early next week. Can't wait to try out all the functions and hooking it up to my Buchardts A700 and my A90D for headphone listening.
