in my setup the smsl da-9 was a touch sharp too unfortunately. it has tons of detail up top but it seems to trade that for any warmth in the upper mid area. i tried it on my JBL 570s and no matter who, female singers were shouting above the rest of the mix. hi-hats could cut your ears clean...
