Whose or what evidence? I posted a review from the PTA who lived with a product for months, treied many different HDMI cables to find what worked best for his equipment. Then I posted a link to amazon customers (hundreds of customers) that liked audioquest.

I am not bashing, you can't buy the product that is the subject of this review, Audioquest has replaced it with newer tech.

How are the hundreds of people that bought a product, tried a product, and liked it enough to post a good review wrong and the person that never tried the product (unless you care to share) right?

Don't ever spend your cash on anyone elses evidence, just form your own evidence though auditioning gear and by using retrun polices, NP.

I go by numbers, 1 or 2 reviews, meh. 100 or 200, legit. The return policy is the fail safe. wireless gear still has to be plugged in, right?

Amazon has a great return policy, it is a legit way to shop and test out new gear, NP. Reviews from people that paid cash, cashtried a product, liked a product, and then even posted about it are about the best source of info out there. You don't think they would post if they felt they were gypped?

I gotta disagree with you 100% on this one, it is ALL about experience, my experience in my room, that;s it, thats why we do this hobby, period.

Yes, I wouldn't critically listen to any component withoiut at least 100 hours of break in. If you want to be exact ask the manufaturer and they will generally tell you. If you are trying to review gear without a break in period I doubt you will ever getl get the same experience that a customer...

Chrispy, cables are the interconnections of everything, they carry the signals, the power, without them you couldn't listen to your stereo.

If I were shopping for an audioquest cable I would want the most recent one, yes.

The people who bought these cables and got a benefit are 100% correct. Audioquest makes great stuff. It is just like anything else, Moores law applies to audio gear as well. That is why Audioquest (and just about all audio companies) come up with new tech, they need to keep up or be left behind...

Its not that the cable has a lifetime, it has been surpassed by new tech. It is the same with any piece of electronics and if someone prefers vintage gear, that is a different topic altogether.

How is reviewing equipment no one can buy new any more, that has been used used under who knows what conditions, a good use of your time? I don't get it, plenty of new stuff is available. I am not asking you to do anything, just noting the obvious here.
