I cannot recommend this. I have done it and usually I strongly believe in EQ-ing bass response, but the 8010s just do not provide satisfactory deep bass when forced. Get a sub instead. And yes, compared to an f3=40 Hz anechoic / 30 Hz in-room system, they do sound papery. No elevated upper bass...
