    Modify Denon AVR-X1800H with preouts

If you mean the speaker output, you can leave it without the load.

    Modify Denon AVR-X1800H with preouts

I would break the track to the input of the C2101 and C2102 and connect them to GND and take the signal before the break of the track.

    Modify Denon AVR-X1800H with preouts

I have installed pre-outs to my AVR-X1500H - with RCA unbalanced connectors. THD+N is up to -100 dB (0,001%) Signal is taken from C2101 and C2102 (via new bipolar caps) - see the pic. THD - Toslink input, 0 dB volume:

    Onkyo TX-NR7100 AVR Review

It seems that EU version has pre-out for front channel.

No pre out on AVR, can I use headphone socket to connect to power amp?

For your headphone socket this can be used: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stageline-21-2840-Passive-Level-Attenuator/dp/B0057G44WM and https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Signal-SIGNAL-PSG00179-6-35mm/dp/B0B23R6C2S or any other 6,35 mm jack to RCA cable.

No pre out on AVR, can I use headphone socket to connect to power amp?

    This adapter should work: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08G883DVQ

No pre out on AVR, can I use headphone socket to connect to power amp?

I would not recommend it - AVR has got headphone socket connected via two 330 Ohm resistors in series (660 Ohm in total) directly from power amps outputs, so when it has output power about 100 W/6 ohm you can expect about 25 Vrms or 35 Vp on the RCA input connector of the Crown amp (input...

Audyssey Manual Calibration “OCA’s REW + Audyssey Awesomeness”

Is there any limitation for Evo regarding the different Audyssey versions (MultEQ, MultEQ XT, XT32, etc.) like number of PEQ filters for each channel?

    E1DA Cosmos ADC

Balanced version takes negative signal from pin 7 of opa (see pic) - todays version use OPA1656 and 100 Ohm output resistance. Than you have 2 x 2,7 V (5,4 V) on the output of oscillator.

Audyssey Manual Calibration “OCA’s REW + Audyssey Awesomeness”

Great tool, thanx a lot! I have one question regarding the center channel - as I know, it is used as the reference point when measuring/calculating the distances (or delays) to the others channel speakers. But what if I have got no center channel - only FR and FL (aka 4.0.2)?

Marantz CINEMA 70s AVR - Teardown, personal thoughts and a few measurements

If 70s uses digital volume control (by reducing the bit length) before signal reaches DACs it is not optimal - PCM5102a is a low cost solution and for low level music could be resolution degradation, so it is no no for me as the pre-amp solution.

Marantz CINEMA 70s AVR - Teardown, personal thoughts and a few measurements

And what about analog inputs - are they digitised/sampled? I think that there is some analog volume chip on the side pcb between upper and lower pcb, or on the lower pcb next to the RCA pre-outs.

Great teardown tlr, but do you know what volume control chip is used?

Adding post-DSP SPDIF outputs to AVRs

What is your external DAC? Is it miniDSP? If so, I suggest to check miniDSP settings... P.S.: MCK is 256xfs - in this case 12,288 MHz (for fs 48 kHz).

Adding post-DSP SPDIF outputs to AVRs

Try to check LRCK (fs) signal on yellow wire - should be like on the pic (it is from AVR-X3400H, but I think it is the same as 3600): Or you can measure frequency of LRCK by multimeter - should be 96 kHz (or 48 kHz), I suppose. Edit: The best is to measure it on the WM8805 on your board...

Adding post-DSP SPDIF outputs to AVRs

I would check the audio interface formats (and MCLK frequency) - they should be the same (see data sheets of the AK4458 and WM8805 and check the appropriate chip pins): Your board is here:

HDMI to USB for Mutichannel DAC OKTO PRO

Next possible solution could be HDMI multichannel extractor to 4 x I2S and 4 x I2S to AES/EBU interface. Than you can use direct connection via AES/EBU to the okto dac8 PRO. HDMI multichannel to I2S extractor: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/33031920347.html I2S to AES/EBU interface (4x)>...
