Can anyone explain the vinyl renaissance?

If it's unique, and rare, then it has value.

Can anyone explain the vinyl renaissance?

Kinda dumb to not differentiate between easily replaceable items and family heirlooms. Pay attention.

Can anyone explain the vinyl renaissance?

No, I did not read the article and I'm not gonna read 500+ posts to get caught up. But I thought I was enough caught up relative to the present comment in the thread. Perhaps I was wrong. In any case, you are talking about rare albums that NO ONE HAS and WILL NEVER HAVE. Of course that is...

Can anyone explain the vinyl renaissance?

The albums are fungible. You can replace any one of them with another and no one would notice. That means no one of them is special. Forgive me if I don't cry if one burns in a fire, . Just replace it and no one will notice.

    "Things that cannot be measured"

Has anyone ever been able to measure a soundstage disappearing? Or is this only conjecture that we can? We all know it happens. If there are no concrete measurements using perhaps "a complex setup probably consisting of a spherical array of small directional mics and some complex processing to...

    "Things that cannot be measured"

OP's original proposition: "Something the subjectivist crowd often brings up. "There are things we cannot measure but the human ear/brain can hear it. We retort, an analyzer can hear much better than any human can. Which is the truth." If I aim my speakers in 5 degrees more than normal, the...
