    AsCi Labs @ Purité Audio

Yes, below certain point distortions are not audible. But... How do you know Purifi is in this territory? How do you know its distortion is below audibility (i.e. SB woofers are /good enough/already in this territory/ so no need for expensive Purifi)? Evidence? No? Just as I thought. Oh, but...

I really don't understand the lame attempts of @dagfinn and @MKR to bash ASCILAB loudspeakers?! @dagfinn started with comparing prices of 6" ASCILAB loudspeaker with 5" Genelec?! Then, confronted with this wrong comparison, he quickly switched to comparing prices of new ASCILAB with second-hand...

Imagine sound directed just at your ears

Yesteryear (yesterdecades, really!) news. Directional speakers working on ultrasound principle are real products, for years: https://waves-system.com/en/directional-sound/ https://waves-system.com/en/produit/hypersound-mono-pack/...

Your lack of knowledge how the physics laws work (and science, in general) is staggering. "They" can not break the basic physics laws, in spite of evolving and refining.

Several pages before, I gave you links to the science papers from Neville Thielle - the man who practically uncovered the science behind bass-reflex boxes: You can't argue with him, or with all other other scientist! This assertion is very, very wrong: Show me where the depth of the speaker...

Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

OK. Here is the wrong assertion again: Bass-reflex box is working on the Helmholtz Resonance principle - where the depth of the box is irrelevant! This is basic stuff! In the formula of the Helmholtz resonance there is no depth of the box, only the volume of the box and dimensions of the port...

Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

B&W style, don't know about the actual audio quality. There are other quite good looking designs, but again - no idea of sound quality: Dynaudio vintage ghost from the past is hunting again poor audiophile souls:

OK, back to the topic... Somehow new designs are moving to the worse. Even if you don't like those bright red surrounds of Cerwin-Vega bass drivers, vintage models (DX7 here) are kinda cool: And here is the new, uglier model (SL12):

That is not negation of facts I wrote. Try harder... There are many bad loudspeakers around - just read Amir's reviews of loudspeakers here.

Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

That is a tell-tale sign of cheap, low quality loudspeaker where the designer is not concerned about the sound quality. Another signs of bad design. Like I said before - those who can't recognize what is bass-reflex port and how it looks...

Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

No, I can't. But I can read books where vented/bas-reflex boxes are explained in details - I suggest to you to do the same. To not recognize whether the loudspeaker box is vented or not, is a massive deficiency of basic knowledge of loudspeakers.

Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

Explaining: That loudspeaker (low-cost junk) is a simple vented box and those are indeed bas-reflex ports (no need for question mark!) and they are not even remotely horn-like. Any beginner in audio will recognize that, let alone knowledgeable people. All others will not. Exactly! Now please...

Yes. Albert L. Thuras explained that "technology" in full detail in his patent from year 1932: https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/f5/b7/13/74309571b5f641/US1869178.pdf Later, in year 1960 Neville Thiele made full mathematical synthesis...

Does sound-absorbing material placed behind the ceiling gypsum board have the effect of absorbing low frequencies?

With gypsum panels It will have some effect on low frequencies, but nothing in mid and high frequencies. There are other panels with excellent absorption down to 100 Hz: https://knauf.com/en-MY/p/product/heradesign-r-superfine-a2-25mm-27156_0240 It is important not to overdo the absorption...

OK, I apologize and I will not comment anything further coming from member Lekha. But I have to point out that member Lekha actually is mocking all designers and users of non-dipole/open baffle loudspeakers.
