Hello! Can you confirm that the Waxwing can be used as a line level DSP between a preamp and power amp? Would it be transparent and have much lower distorsion and noise compared to the MM/MC input? What about the noise from the 5V USB PSU? Seems a bit odd to use a preamp with excellent PSU...

Get another preamp, DAC or an attenuator, split between 100k resistors or smth

Untick the fixed volume or use the phono output. Balanced connection doesn't matter in short runs in domestic environments.

To compare correctly the volume of all compared units must be exactly the same. Otherwise the unit with slightly higher volume will sound "better".

The DC resistance of the coil is constant, the AC "resistance" varies with the frequency. If a resistance is specified it is the DC resistance. What do you want to achieve with this? Cut off the bass to the speaker? Do you have a subwoofer?

It's DC resistance, AC resistance is impedance. Generally very low impedance in higher frequencies isn't that problematic, but at lower frequencies it might be.

You mean that you will connect a 1 ohm resistance to the amp?

Some prefer the Quadbus/Ampbus input phono connection. The signal just runs through one OPA275 opamp.
