You are correct regarding AirPlay. I have a non-Pro Wiim amp driving Revel M16. I’d like it to be a bit cleaner when playing very loud, but for most people it would be more than enough. I would recommend people pair the Wiim Amp/Amp Pro with 4 ohm speakers of at least 88dB sensitivity.

These are qualities I personally love about good audio systems. If you add in high SPL and uncompressed headroom then you’ve got an exciting system.

100% agree. I work with Italian pro audio brand K-array and regularly demonstrate their Pinnacle systems to clients. You really can’t beat a system with huge headroom and incredible transient speed.

All this talk of optimising system SINAD for an amp that shits its pants into 2ohm (and maybe 3.2ohm - who knows).

I asked this earlier. You would think it would have to have one. Otherwise as an integrated amp it’s even less useable. If it does have a remote then the question is how it works when a Wiim streamer, with its own remote, is used with it.

SMSL’s 1KHz THD+N graph shows approx 0.004% at 5W in bridge mode which is -88dB SINAD. Bandwidth looks very good. Power output is excellent. You say this amp is delivering something special subjectively which intrigues me.
