Thanks, looking at this unit for desktop/computer use so the weird independent tone control probably not an issue for my use case. Agree it's a strange setup/hope they remedy it.

Looks like U-Turn has a second generation Pluto ("Pluto 2", conveniently). Among other changes, they list a "redesigned power supply" that may have solved the power supply noise Amir identified. Given I prefer the aesthetics of the Pluto 2, I think I'll give it a go...
