I believe the exception in regard to bright sounding (for small to medium size rooms) may be the Paradigm Premier series which are very neutral.

I heard that Paradigm is discontinuing the entire Prestige series because the Premier Series is better and sales are way down on the Prestige because of this. Paradigm plans to introduce a series between the Persona and the Premier that is better than the Premier but cost less than the Persona...

Allegedly the impacted x6700h all had serial numbers below 1000; the one I bought in early November was well above that.

Thank you - that is all understood but the power supply will be the limiting the factor.. So my question still stands if anyone has examined the differences between the two... I believe both AVRs would work just fine with your surrounds. My surrounds are the same as my L + R, i.e. Paradigm...

I thought I was all set on the Denon AVR-X6700H after Amir's updated review but it looks like Marantz SR8015 improved a great deal measurement wise over the SR8012 so will likely hold off until Amir gets a chance to review the SR8805 and ranks it along side the Denon 6700 and other AVRs...
