Moondrop Chu II DSP - EQ Review

Shame the app is so buggy. Always crashing or freezing, not updating the selected profile, losing connection with the earphones, entailing a force close and multiple removals and re-insertions of the USB-C connector to try and get a profile applied.

Moondrop Chu II DSP - EQ Review

Where is the currently selected EQ stored? Is it in the cable itself? And therefore the sound is carried to whatever device it is plugged into?

HIDIZS S8 USB-C Headphone Adapter Review

Try setting the laptop's power plan to 'power saver'. Works for me. Please report back if this stops the glitching.

HIDIZS S8 USB-C Headphone Adapter Review

I've noticed audio glitching disappears on the Tempotech on Windows laptop with Power Saver profile. Anything else, High-Performance or Balanced power profile it starts to glitch. Same with Roland Quadcapture. This is counter-intuitive: you'd think the high performance profile would mean less...

HIDIZS S8 USB-C Headphone Adapter Review

There's a guy posting youtube videos about this DAC, and he has provided a solution to the iAP Interface problem: you need to install a separate driver for it. Worked for me. The download is in the comments section, all in Spanish so you'll need to translate. Or below is the link on google drive...

Looks like a great feature of Foobar, but I'm not getting the option of fading/smooth seek with any output except DS. Even KS.

HIDIZS S8 USB-C Headphone Adapter Review

Just to say, after several attempts at reinstalling I've (randomly) managed to get V.1.0 of the firmware to play well with the Tempotec USB driver. Everything playing nicely now: pristine sound, zero dropouts or glitches. Has anyone managed to get firmware V3.0 to work on Windows 10, with the...

I'm not getting any playback delay for different sample rates with WASAPI push. 24bit WASAPI event is garbled.

HIDIZS S8 USB-C Headphone Adapter Review

So reverting to V1.0 firmware and using the Tempotec driver works for you? I'm getting constant dropouts, and need to go back to the Windows USB driver. This leads me to believe the firmware shipped with the device was not the same as the downloaded V1.0, as everything was working well before I...

HIDIZS S8 USB-C Headphone Adapter Review

I just had the same, constant BSODs after updating firmare to V3.0 and changing the driver to the one in the Tempotec folder. This driver does not work with the new firmware, and causes even more dropouts/clicks and BSODs on top. I reverted back to the default Microsoft USB Audio 2.0 driver and...

HIDIZS S8 USB-C Headphone Adapter Review

Strange, I'm having no issues with ASIO playback at 32bit or 100ms buffer, or any other settings. And I can change anything in the Tempotech control panel on the fly and the changes are instantly reflected in the Windows sound control panel.

Very useful bit of deduction there, thank you. I've updated the driver as you described and all traces of clicking, etc, appear to be gone.
