Marantz 70s pre-pro or something else?

Hi, Good question. The A/D/A conversion does not happen in Pure Direct mode. Amir made that statement after testing in his review of the C70. That means you can put a DAC after your digital source and be sure it`s OK. With Amirs lab, I think you can trust that statement. He even put the "NOT" in...

Marantz 70s pre-pro or something else?

For stereo and music you could put a DAC in between a music streamer and the C70. Analog inputs in C70, with Pure Direct mode enabled, works perfect, with no interference from A/D convertion (read Amirs review). With 7.2 preouts and all the latest video decoding and video conversion (on top of...

Marantz 70s pre-pro or something else?

Hi, Your plan seems to be good, to use the C70s as a preamp/DAC . If yo look at Amirs test, the preout/DAC meassurements for the C70s are pretty good. I use a simmilar setup, but with a NR1606 and a NAD C272 (front). The NAD plays very good, and with 150W there are plenty of power. Highly...

    Marantz Cinema 70s as a pre-pro

Hi, M. Not at all. In your case, with the C70, external amps are in most cases a much better choise. Of course, using the C70 in stereo for the sake of HDMI is another question. I plan to do the same with an Atmos setup and I`m glad you posted this thread.

    Marantz Cinema 70s AVR Review

Thank you for your rewiev. I was about to buy the unit, to use it as a processor. That will not be the case now. It`s a blow for Marantz to deliver something so out of class, and it does not matter that it looks nice. I use a Marantz NR1606, with a NAD C296 as power and with 6 ohm speakers. It...

Bridging NAD C270 with 6 ohm speakers.

Hi, and thanks for reply. Yes, by lower levels I mean lower volume. So by adding another amp, there are nothing to gain, like better dynamic, better bass, a.s.o.? My idea, with more power, is that the speakers would preform better. I guess I`m wrong :). Thx

Bridging NAD C270 with 6 ohm speakers.

I will. Bridging might not be the thing I need or want, but overall I want more power. My hope is that 2xC270 bridged will perform better, specially on lower levels, than one do in stereo. I will try with the 6 ohm Dalis and keep both eyes (and one hand) on heating. Again it`s all about what I...

Bridging NAD C270 with 6 ohm speakers.

The thing is that the Dalis are 6 ohm and outside the recomended speaker load for a bridged system. I will for sure try out Dassens setup, but I have my doubts, especially running one channel without load, over time. In bridge mode the amps should see 3 ohm (the C270 has it`s own tech to read...

Bridging NAD C270 with 6 ohm speakers.

I don`t understand. Are you running two C270s in stereo mode, one channel from each amp? How does that work? With respect, never heard of anything like it. That means there is one channel running on each amp with no load. Can`t be good for the unwired channel? Or do I misunderstand your setup...

Bridging NAD C270 with 6 ohm speakers.

Hi, people. --------------- I have two NAD C270 amplifiers (in very good shape) that I want to bridge. My loadspeakers are a pair og Dali with 6 ohm impedance. Can I use these speakers in a bridged setup without dangering the speakers or amplifiers? The load on the system will be normal, nothing...

    NAD C298 Stereo Amplifier Review

True, it is in keeping with the NAD entry level line cases, and thats alright. With almost no heat involved ther are no need for "beautiful" cooling-ribs, it`s Class D. For the most you pay for NADs Purifi license, which give them the to develope the Eigentakt-modules as they see fit. Previous...
