Bricks List: 36V & 48V Power Supplies (for Fosi, Aiyima etc.)

You're ignoring the use case, in which a PSU almost never gets near the specified maximum current draw other than for brief peaks -- so brief that they don't have a chance to heat things up. If I was testing amps with steady input from a signal generator, then I'd be concerned about cooling --...

Bricks List: 36V & 48V Power Supplies (for Fosi, Aiyima etc.)

Too late. There've been no issues whatsoever here in four years of near-24/7 usage. The fact that I could swap in an otherwise similar unit with a proper thermostatically controlled fan without that fan ever activating further proves my case. Moreover, if a 48v/10a fully sealed power brick...

    RCA connection question

RTFM. If the documentation says a single RCA-to-RCA is all you need and tells you where to plug that in, that's all you need and a Y-adapter would offer no advantage.

    12 in 8 out DSP for USD$40?

No $40-50 bargains on this thing today -- the lowest price I could find was $99 via eBay. I think I'll stick with my Dayton DSP-408, which I nabbed for $120 on sale with free shipping from PE and is perfectly adequate for my particular use case.

    SMSL PS200 Budget DAC Review

I'd go for that sort of sensible upgrade too -- although my UMC202HD seems perfectly adequate here.

That wasn't braggadocio, that was a confession. He should have asserted his Fifth Amendment rights and remained silent.

Kali IN 5 v2 - noise, humming, hiss etc.

That would be my guess, FWIW.

I'd buy this and be done with it: Kii Three BXT with Kii Control

    Older Amplifiers Better?

Sansui had that function covered over 50 years ago, albeit with lousy SNR by modern standards due to all-analog circuitry. Another 15 years go by, and Yamaha comes up with a better solution built around a their own custom DSP chip and an 8-bit CPU, an approach that provides two very convincing...

    all these 'Desk setups'...?

That was also my solution for my pair of the much larger Kali IN-8v2s -- I used Gator stands nabbed via eBay from a legit online music retailer. They're height-adjustable like a mechanic's jack stand, by inserting a chained-up pin.

    Older Amplifiers Better?

That's terrible -- everyone knows hooking up speakers with 1/4" TS cables smears the sound -- those connections are even worse than (shudder) steel binding post nuts! Your speakers must sound like an overdriven Fender Princeton!!

    Older Amplifiers Better?

I like and still use my 40 year old Yamaha processors because there's nothing like them available new for a price I can afford. That said, all the amplification in my 7.1 system is modern Class D stuff. The ambience/surround speakers are driven -- after DSP to EQ those speakers and compensate...

It's not just the audiophools who are being sold snake oil -- musicians are also being targeted with pointlessly pricey stuff with no real benefit: Zaolla Silverline ZMC Microphone Cable

Any reason NOT to use rg59 for rca interconnects?

Certainly less of it than with a typical 3.5mm TRS-to-TRS stereo cable -- and probably inaudible other than with an extremely long run, which is inadvisable for an unbalanced connection anyway.
