Here's a look at my recently completed LCR phono stage, D3a and E55L tubes, triode strapped, completely transformer coupled from input to output, balanced ins, separate chassis power supply with umbilical. I've since made a new umbilical to get a little more space between the power supply and...

Wow that's quite the setup! Very nice. I don't watch TV either, movies sometimes. With hobbies like these, who has time. In my system, my Thorens TD 125 MKII and my LCR phono bests any DAC I've owned. Digital is there as a convenience. The format sounds great and it isn't just nostalgia...

Very nice! Well, as a guy who has a turntable, a tube LCR phono stage, a cassette deck, a single-ended tube amp, horn speakers, and a vintage R2R DAC from the 90s in his system, suffice to say that not everyone's enjoyment of music / audio requires the utmost in measured audio fidelity. With a...

I see on his site his collaboration MC cartridge with Denon is in stock, as are his Cinemag MC SUTs, speaker plans, but no T-shirts or hats, just audio equipment unfortunately

Have you considered the possibility that your impressions were wrong, and that his products at the time of the interview were just sold out?

    Giant 2A3 Headamp

Sorry, I don't sell. I do have a commercial amplifier coming out through ZMF Headphones however, on May 10th. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/zmf-aegis-official-thread.972476/

More Is Better? 6336 / 6528 OTL Headphone Amplifier

No I hadn't seen those, I might have to give them a try. If they compare favorably to current regulated filament supplies, like Rod Coleman's regulators, that would be fantastic given their small size.

More Is Better? 6336 / 6528 OTL Headphone Amplifier

Thanks. No it uses a friends Maida design, similar to Tom's but uses a different LDO regulator among other differences. I hadn't considered writing it up, to be honest I don't know that they would be interested!

    Tube-y Tube Amps

Sorry, I don't do commission builds any more, just don't have the time (and frankly, it just isn't worth the money). The pre-built version via ZMF going to be released this year. As I mentioned, we should have demo units available for audition at CanJam New York and some reviews / impressions...

    Tube-y Tube Amps

Here are some pics from various people who have built, they've gotten creative with it aesthetically. I've experimented with a lot of single-ended tube circuits, this is a pretty good one if I do say so myself, and relatively simple compared to some other designs that I've made using lots of...

    Tube-y Tube Amps

@majingotan tagged my DIY project, if you are up for doing it yourself, it's beginner friendly as far as DIY goes. You can see lots of photos on the Head-Fi thread, maybe some 30 or so of these amps have been built. People are very happy with the sound. I wouldn't call it super "tube-y"...

    ZMF Caldera Headphone Review

Alright, I cannot argue any more, I will be turning off notifications. Anyone who wants to quote me, I offer you the last word. Regardless of the different viewpoints, ultimately this is about enjoyment of music, so I hope you all are able to accomplish that in your own way. Adios!

    ZMF Caldera Headphone Review

Right, my point is a headphone that does not adhere to Harman will not be recommended without EQ, even if it is strong in every other area.

    ZMF Caldera Headphone Review

Here, let me show you how that might not have been obvious. My argument has not changed. If it is going to be made an industry standard - and yes that potentially means less choice as more headphone manufacturers adapt to it - then it should be validated. Anyone who is going to argue that...

    ZMF Caldera Headphone Review

Yes, I know. As I've said, I've been on this forum longer than any of you, I know the drill, I've participated in these discussions multiple times. I never claimed tubes were objectively better, what I said was: That does not mean it is objectively better, only that I think it sounds good...

    ZMF Caldera Headphone Review

It's not perfect, but that's why it's an analogy. The sentiment is the same: people don't want to be prescribed preferences, even if it's based in market research.

    ZMF Caldera Headphone Review

I don't disagree with you, and I do believe in the scientific method and verifiability, which is why I suggested the Harman research should be verified before being put into practice or measured against as an industry standard. Here's an analogy that maybe illustrates better my feeling - say...
