My RT60 measurements and acoustic room treatment advice

Yes, the right wall is external. The front wall is external too. I had previously measured one sub in front in a few locations while one sub was in the rear of the room in a couple locations—as many combos as I could. I used REW. Two in the front turned out to be best. I just had the gain on...

My RT60 measurements and acoustic room treatment advice

Hello everyone, I have been a member of AVS forum for a couple decades. I recently discovered Audio Science Review and love the objectivity and science here. I have been setting up and tweaking my 5.2 system for a long time now. While the room is a balance of sound and aesthetics, I have been...

    KEF Ci200RR-THX In-ceiling/In-Wall Speaker Review

Of course you can’t go by measurements alone. But when buying in wall speakers, I’m not sure what other choice you have considering there is nowhere to hear them yourself and nowhere to compare them to others. Measurements always have their place in making a decision. Toole's research proved...

    KEF Ci200RR-THX In-ceiling/In-Wall Speaker Review

I’m a big fan of KEF but I wouldn’t use these for LCR. The Monolith Monoprice THX speakers were measured by Amir (look at the revised set of graphs done the second time) and look to be great value for the money—1/4 the price of the KEF’s. And you will have LCR’s that can cross over at 80hz...

    KEF Ci200RR-THX In-ceiling/In-Wall Speaker Review

Another way to go, if you don't mind an on-ceiling speaker instead of an in-ceiling speaker, would be the KEF Q50a. They are $750 a pair vs. $2,000 for a pair of the Ci200R-THX. The Q50a uses a 5.25" woofer vs the 8" woofer in the Ci200R. But, I'm not sure Atmos is that demanding on the height...

    Revel F35 Speaker Review

I've been waiting too. The only reason I don't buy the current line is that I don't want to buy an MTM center speaker. I was surprised Revel didn't offer a three way center like they did in the original Concerta 1's.
