    7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 IEM Review

Just EQ some areas of the FR to taste if necessary. There isn’t anything better really, you’re pretty much done now.

Any DCA Stealth owners "upgrade" to something better?

Well "significant" is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but I did like it better, yes. As previously stated, the higher frequencies (>3KHz) are slightly more elevated compared to the Stealth, which is more to my liking (and more in accordance with Harman). The signature DCA bass bump between...

Any DCA Stealth owners "upgrade" to something better?

Yes, the DCA E3 (that I've subsequently sold on as well though). It adheres to Harman a bit closer than the Stealth, especially the higher frequencies are noticeably better reproduced by the E3.

    7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 IEM Review

God you just keep making these wild assumptions and leap to bizarre conclusions in incoherent posts that, whilst elaborate, still manage to be extremely vague and unspecific. You can't get along with the stock tuning of the Zero2 and so far haven't managed to fix it with EQ, that's all the...

Dan Clark NOIRE X Headphone Review

Depends on what you want to upgrade exactly. In terms of fidelity you won’t get an upgrade, those IEMs offer everything you can wish for on that front. The different sensation of having cups around your ears instead of something holed up inside your ear could be considered an upgrade, also...

    7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 IEM Review

I've used the Zero2 on and off for months now, but have been listening daily and extensively to them for the last two weeks or so. I'm using the EQ filters that Amir provided with some slight adjustments to personal taste (with a Qudelix 5K). I am astonished by the fidelity every time I put them...

    Dan Clark E3 Headphone Review

I think the variance in frequency response between Amir, Oratory, etc has a lot to do with the way the cups are positioned and the direction of the AMTS in relation to the ears (though to a lesser extent than the Stealth and Expanse). If I let the back of my ears touch the inside of the cups...

    Favourite Bluetooth Headphones?

The AKG N700NC M2 are still my fave. Stock sound is good/great and using the AKG app you can EQ them fairly precise with a graphic interface.

    HIFIMAN Susvara Headphone Review

The hilariously misplaced self assuredness and tone of authority of those head-fi users is a great source of hilarity though. I can happily read through some of the topics there just for a laugh. It's like going 15 years back in time compared to ASR.

    Dan Clark E3 Headphone Review

Can't make much sense of Dan Clark's response tbh, though this could be because of (understandably) not wanting to go into future plans too much. What are these things specifically meant for subjective listeners (aside from the mentioned soundstage)? Still, very curious what DCA's next step...

    Upgrade for Moondrop Variations

Truthear Nova adheres to Harman slightly better than the Variations (in the treble region mainly) and costs a lot less, but everything depends on what your idea of an upgrade is.

Dan Clark Stealth Review (State of the Art Headphone)

Unless you’re vehemently against Harman, I can’t imagine you will be!

    Dan Clark E3 Headphone Review

I fail to see how you can come to the conclusion that tuning is a relatively unimportant aspect. Everything you wrote stems from how the headphones are tuned. You just discovered where your taste doesn’t align with Harman.

    HIFIMAN Susvara Headphone Review

As soon as you've discovered which personal deviations from the Harman curve you prefer, measurements are more valuable than whatever a reviewer with his/her specific HRTF thinks. Why would you put so much trust in that?

    Dan Clark E3 Headphone Review

Listened and compared these to the Stealth for the last couple of days now. The long and short of it is that this is basically a perfected Stealth. The two minor "faults" of the Stealth are both fixed: upper bass/lower mids bump is lowered (almost eliminated) and the slightly recessed treble is...

Hifiman Arya, Sundara or Dan Clark Drop Aeon 2 Noire?

The Sundara is the best tuned HP of those options with relatively good distortion figures and is the cheapest one to boot. Should be an easy choice :)

    Truthear Gate

Should sound pretty dull (to my ears).

    New Sennheiser HD 620S

I don’t really know what that means. Looks to me most of the >3KHz region needs a significant boost to comply with Harman. Most headphones that lack dB’s there sound a bit dull in my experience.

    New Sennheiser HD 620S

Lacking pretty severely in the upper regions though.

    Dan Clark E3 Headphone Review

The bass bump around 100Hz is clearly more pronounced on the Noire than the E3, that likely causes the difference you’re hearing.
