Ascilab is cooking an MTM model. Sound power looks a bit better than the classic two way. It is a much larger speaker though.

Neumann probably makes decisions based on typical listening distance and environment, nothing to do with active or passive. The kH310 and the 420 offer much less tilted down sound power curves. And as far as smoothness goes, that sound power curve of the KH 150 is significantly better than that...

Those models don't appear on Canton's website and are almost 15 year old at this point. It looks to be a discontinued product with a retailer still having some inventory and deeply discounting it. That's not comparable to a new product in terms of pricing at all.

If there are changes, I think it's most likely it will show up as some form of intermodulation distortion, or if unlucky as some harmonic distortion. I don't think it'll affect FR in a significant way.
