    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

I came across this website before but I was doubting it is legit... However, after more research, the seller is "Enclave" located in Hong Kong and there is indeed an audio company called Enclave and selling WiSA equipped speakers. I have contacted them via their support, will update on the answer !

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

Hello all, The amplification board is currently under rework to implement the different feedbacks I received from knowledgeable people. In the meantime, I am trying to look at the next steps of this projects which are the speakers of this surround system themselves. After quite bit of research...

DIY Perks video: DIY Surround Sound... USING LASERS!

Hello, I am really interested in the project of DIYPerks as it could be an alternative to my own DIY WiSA project. However, the main cons for me here is that the setup presented in the video does not support Dolby ATMOS (DD+). To solve this issue, an HDMI Audio extractor compatible and able to...

    Any Amp with I2S inputs?

Not yet ! Ahah I have received quite a few feedbacks on the PCB design and I will incorporate the different feedbacks before going for manufacturing, so I will take yours into account too !

    Any Amp with I2S inputs?

Thank you for the inputs ! After checking your document as well as the TAS5828M Evaluation board, I believe I can change the inductance to Wurth Electronik - 74435 or 74436 family - with specs in range of 7 μH -10 μH in the LC filter, a capacitor value of 0.68 μF - 0.47 μF - rated for 35V-50V...

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

Thank you for your feedback ! If you are referring to this strip: I believe it used for cooling of the chip itself. I forgot where I read that but I remember something around that line. As you mentioned in your edit, the chip is capable of 100W mono output. Upon your feedback and also...

    Any Amp with I2S inputs?

As per datasheet, TAS5828M should be able to output 50W stereo (100W mono) with a distortation around THD+N ≤ 0.03% at 1 W, 1 kHz. I am not really sure what it means but it seems quite good for this kind of chip ! TAS5828M datasheet

    Any Amp with I2S inputs?

Sorry @cobby , I just noticed your answer. Would you be able to give me a bit more detail on what you mean ? I am preparing to place the order for manufacturing and I believe almost all capacitors were switched to Ceramic as you advised by JLPCB:

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

Hello, Following my post in the I2S Amp thread: I have received the draft design, from a hired free-lance, to use TAS5828M and I would like to get your opinion before sending it for manufacturing: Would anyone would be able to cross check on the Smart Amp / Class-D amplifier before I...

    Any Amp with I2S inputs?

Thank you Voodooless for your clarification, I indeed believe it was fully digital until I look more in detail. Here is the latest (I think) product of Texas Instrument - TAS5828M which is capable of 2*50W output: Texas Instrument TAS5828M I think I will go down this path for my project but...

    Any Amp with I2S inputs?

Hey, I am also looking for Digital amps taking I2S as inputs and which can deliver 15-20W outputs for my speakers satellites. My requirements are slightly different as I am receiving the Audio signal via an I2S stream - see DIY WiSA Home-theater and I am looking for board with minimal...

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

Hello, Some updates: I found the UART Communication pins and could look at some logging from the RX: There is details on the: WiFi canal The volumne in HEX format the Mute 1/0 some details on the board origin (RW-34) I have progress on understanding the pin-out (Refer to previous pictures...

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

Hello, Here is some update. I have received my Logic Analyzer - Cheap one that connect to USB and work with Salae software. I have managed to capture some I2S Signal from the RX board as follow: Channel 0 is the Clock Channel 1 is LRCLK Channel 2 is Data 0 Channel 3 is Data 1 (which seems to...

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

I think it is actually really similar components inside, except that B&O sell this for 200USD while I can get the WiSA receiver PCB for 20 USD ! It should be compatible with the WiSA SoundSend (like my Klipsch salvage parts are compatible with it). I will try the B&O app on my setup and see...

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

I do not have an oscilloscope but maybe I can try to figure something out with some electronics ! However, wouldn’t the last picture I added confirm that there is only 2 data lines (SD0 and SD1) which then with 2 TDM -> 8 channels ?

    DIY WiSA Home Theater system

Don't worry, I have even less knowledge than you have, I am just tinkering around and I have no basic knowledge of Audio ! If it was Option 2, wouldn't it means that the TX would emit on 8+ different frequencies within the 5.2-5.8Ghz band (with risk of overlapping with house wifi,etc..) ...
