Visualizing How Different Loudspeaker LF Directivity Patterns Couple to Room Modes

Thanks for sharing the results ! It seems that your conclusions are very similar to that of Philip Feurtado made in his master thesis

In-Room Speaker Frequency Response Simulation (Low Frequency)

What CPU ? I tried to run NTK's "vsrew_ntk2.ipynb" notebook on my old HP workstation with i7-3740QM CPU (4 physical cores, HT is off), the simulation took approximately 18min. (1100 s.)

Why you decide, that the Image Source method correctly accounts walls absorption ?

Debunking the Myth that a Lighter Diaphragm Enables a "Faster" Speaker Driver

Added mass method is perfect at low frequencies , when the cone approximately moves as rigid piston and resonance of the "cone stiffness- added mass" system is considerably higher than resonance frequency of "cone mass-suspention stiffnes" . In the mid and high audio frequency range distribution...

Debunking the Myth that a Lighter Diaphragm Enables a "Faster" Speaker Driver

Sorry I couldn't help but comment on this old thread, since this is not the first time I have met these pictures from Adire Audio. These measurements and conclusions by Adire Audio guys are quite absurd because the added mass and the cone stiffness make up an oscillating system whose tuning...

    Impulse response = frequency response

A small clarification. Under free field radiation condition the diaphragm of the speaker creates air flow (i.e. displaces air particles), which is converted to air wave pressure trough acoustic impedance of the medium. But not reverse as follows from your post (you stated that the diaphragm...
