You may indeed ask. It's purely because I currently use a pair of newer style 700's in that space (I also have the 700's from 1980 which I've just re-foamed but not tested). So no science behind it, I just fancy a pair! I've a bit of a soft spot for Mission compact speakers and want to try some...

Yup I tried this when they poked them in about 10/15 years ago (my memory is going) and it kinda-worked... but as they needed packing away from little fingers I took it no further. Interestingly the youngest also poked in the woofer dome on the little Eltax Monitor III's a couple of years ago...

Just out of interest (nothing to do with looking on ebay and thinking of redesigning the office as a listening room... honest) - what sort of price is decent for a pair of 738's and 728's..? A pair of each available locally apparently - I mean just out of interest :eek:

I have an O2 running out of the Behringer UMC204HD happily driving a pair of Monolith m1060C's, occasionally Hifiman Sundara. All good. All controls are on the front of my O2 (Head'n'hifi model) which helps, as I also use the 204 for recording and the O2 sits on top of it under the computer...
