(stolen from a reddit post I stumbled across)

    mission brand speakers?

You may indeed ask. It's purely because I currently use a pair of newer style 700's in that space (I also have the 700's from 1980 which I've just re-foamed but not tested). So no science behind it, I just fancy a pair! I've a bit of a soft spot for Mission compact speakers and want to try some...

    mission brand speakers?

Hmmm, thanks. He's looking for £250 for the 782's. Probably give them a miss, though it's probably about the market rate. Well done on your bargain buys though and removing the marks - they probably sounded better too without the watermark (oh that's for a different thread)

    mission brand speakers?

Yup I tried this when they poked them in about 10/15 years ago (my memory is going) and it kinda-worked... but as they needed packing away from little fingers I took it no further. Interestingly the youngest also poked in the woofer dome on the little Eltax Monitor III's a couple of years ago...

    mission brand speakers?

Just out of interest (nothing to do with looking on ebay and thinking of redesigning the office as a listening room... honest) - what sort of price is decent for a pair of 738's and 728's..? A pair of each available locally apparently - I mean just out of interest

Thanks Hatty. Just going onto Ebay to spend some cash... this won't be ending well (for the wallet)

    mission brand speakers?

My pair of 700's are in the loft. I bought them with my Saturday job pay whilst still at school, late 70's. They've been with me ever since. One of my children was fascinated by the shiny domes of the tweeters (foam covers long since gone to heaven) and pushed them back into the tweeters. He...

    Spirits, what you drinking...

With a user name like mine you'd think it'd be malt whisky, but at the moment it's vodka

This has got to be a joke...Right?

Ah, except that they offer NO guarantee (or guarentee (sic)} or so it says on their FAQ. It's hilarious

This has got to be a joke...Right?

Is their whole site a joke? I desperately wanted the "reviews" to have clever pseudonyms ... Sadly not

Should I get a dac/amp or just an amp?

I have an O2 running out of the Behringer UMC204HD happily driving a pair of Monolith m1060C's, occasionally Hifiman Sundara. All good. All controls are on the front of my O2 (Head'n'hifi model) which helps, as I also use the 204 for recording and the O2 sits on top of it under the computer...

What headphone(s) do you own ?

Hi, Beyerdynamic DT990Pro 250, mainly used for gaming and classical Ultrasone Signature Pro, my favourite, works for most genres Dekoni Blue (bought in a moment of madness, but great for electronica), it's a love/hate relationship... Sony MDR1000MX3 for travel I fancy a pair of Senn 6xx's...
