So you don't even know if EQ Settings will lead to distortions... 100% this will lead to distortions if you use Dolby Atmos or DTS X Headphone, even if it fixes the issues. For music using EQ should be fine. Topping should just fix it. It's their fault... And it happens with many headphones...

Ill try it but it should be fixed by Topping. I have the problem with Beyerdynamic DT 990 (250 and 600 Ohm). So it occurse most likley if you put gain on +19dB. Which is nessesacry for a DT 990 600 Ohm or a planar HE400

I have the same issues. But mainly in games. When some kind shooting accurse, some doors are opended or with some music tracks. Doesn:t matter if Stereo, Dolby Atmos ore DTS: X. Still with firmware 1.28... Does the DX5 have the same issues?

They could explain what they fixed :rolleyes:... like they have done in other fw updates... Still useless gimmick. If you want to change the soundprofil, than it's much better to use a software equalizer... Maybe for games, but for music use a EQ....

Yeah we all read that. A bit more details ;) Keep the default filter(3). They are useless... My device is still getting handwarm, just when turned on, not even playing. newest fw & drivers @ Win11 Strange, since the power supply is not even built in the device.

So i didn't really miss anything while not knowing how to turn it off. The device has the same temps as before, too. The sensitivity of the protection circuit didn't change neither. No one has a clue what the update actually did ^^

But if BT on/off in the hidden menu has no effect than something is wrong with your unit. It works with v1.28 on my device. Status is only fixed in the normal menu via < > Would be really interessting to measure if it will lower power consumption in standby mode from high 2.5w.

Yes ,but only to show the BT status. You can't change the status via remote. Only via hidden menu. I think it's a good way to have it in a hidden menu. Most consumers will only turn it off once and this way they can't accidentally turn it on.

Strange, i had BT on for 2 years (didn't know about the option until now). I could turn it off without problems with the newest firmware. I guess it will effect my standby power consumption a bit and the unit will stay cooler now. Annoying that i didn't know about this option earlier...

Could you measure it in standby with BT off? If it't only 0,5W, than it's normal like every modern device in standby mode. Don't have a device to measure it @home. THX!

It's the new version for 70€ (from Senn. in new cond.). You analysed it in a post before. No EQ for now.
